The day after the funeral happened to be a weekend. 0

Guan Qing visited Jack's grave. She just wanted to have a chat with him. 0

Jack was not only her colleague who had fought alongside her through thick and thin, but also her mentor. 0

The wind howled among the rows of cold tombstones, and plum blossom-shaped snowflakes danced across the gray earth. 0

Guan Qing stood before Jack's gravestone, memories flooding back to her. She fought back tears, but the warmth in her eyes caused a layer of frost to form on her dark eyelashes. 0

She dared not cry, fearing that her tears would turn to icicles and be used by Jack's spirit for amusement. 0

If Jack had a soul after death. 0

In truth, due to their hierarchical relationship, Guan Qing had secretly harbored a secret: her admiration for Jack had long since transformed. 0

At first, she hadn't realized it as feelings began to blossom. She simply looked forward to solving cases alongside Jack every day. 0

Then one night, while flipping through her thick diary, she suddenly realized that the door to love had been quietly opened without her noticing. She had been secretly cherishing this one-sided affection, recording every little moment spent with Jack, too shy to confess. 0

Now, even if she wanted to express her feelings, it was too late. 0

The snow fell heavier, and a feather-like snowflake landed on Guan Qing's hair. Her phone rang. 0

Guan Qing answered, and the voice on the other end was mechanical, making it hard to distinguish between male and female: "Guan Qing?" 0

"Who are you?" Guan Qing immediately became alert. 0

Who would use a mechanical voice to call her? Guan Qing tightened her grip on the phone while drawing her gun from the holster at her waist. 0

“Do you really believe that Jack's death was an accident?” the caller asked. 0

“What do you mean?” Guan Qing replied as she quickly made her way to her car. 0

Inside the car was a Cigarette Case that could instantly track the caller's location. 0

“Have you heard of a place called '46/2'?” the caller inquired. 0

Guan Qing had already opened the car door. As she pulled out the Cigarette Case, she tried to prolong the conversation. “I've heard of it. What does it have to do with Jack's death?” 0

She extracted a thin cable from the Cigarette Case and plugged it into her phone. 0

“You should go take a look,” the caller said. 0

At that moment, the Cigarette Case displayed the caller's phone number and address. 0

Guan Qing glanced at it and saw that it was indeed from '46/2'. Just as she was about to ask another question, the caller hung up. 0

Why was it named '46/2'? 0

Guan Qing had heard of this place; it was converted from an abandoned factory located in a desolate suburb. 0

46/2 only opened at night. 0

The name of this place comes from a metaphor: if the Earth's 4.6 billion years of history were condensed into one hour, then the span of human existence would be less than two seconds. 0

Guan Qing stopped the car, walked over the thin layer of snow, and used a stick to fend off the wild dogs that occasionally approached. 0

In the endless darkness, she saw a faint light. 0

She walked toward that glimmer. 0

The surroundings were eerily silent; apart from the sporadic barking of dogs, the only sound was the crunch of her footsteps on the hard-packed snow. 0

The light emanated from a small glass window above a massive iron door of a factory. 0

There was no sign, and inside was quiet, devoid of any noise. A surveillance camera mounted above the door slowly turned as Guan Qing moved. 0

Guan Qing pressed the green button on the intercom at the door. Before she could introduce herself, the door began to open slowly. 0

It seemed that those inside had already been aware of her arrival. 0

Stepping into the factory, Guan Qing found it to be completely empty. 0

Two beams of blue light stretched out from either side, indicating her path forward. 0

She had to follow the route illuminated by the blue light; otherwise, she would hit a wall. 0

Because this seemingly empty factory was actually filled with small cubicles. 0

Using the principle of refraction from optics, the homeowner made all the cubicles invisible to the human eye. Coupled with the Absolute Perfect Soundproof System, the sounds within the cubicles were completely sealed off. 0

This was a place beyond the reach of government surveillance cameras. 0

What people did in the cubicles was purely a matter of personal privacy. 0

The Membership System was implemented in this area. 0

Every member was rigorously screened and selected for admission. Outsiders could not easily gain access. 0

Guan Qing did not understand why she was able to enter this place so smoothly. 0

Suddenly, a bottomless black hole appeared in the space to her right. 0

Above the black hole, two words glowed: "Please Enter." 0

Guan Qing drew her gun and peered into the darkness within. All she could see was an abyss similar to a cosmic black hole; nothing else was discernible. 0

She lifted her leg, aimed her gun at the vague expanse ahead, and stepped into the hole. 0

She heard a creaking sound behind her, and when she turned back, the entrance had vanished. 0

She found herself engulfed in darkness, losing her sense of distance, feeling as though her feet no longer touched the ground, suspended in an unknown space. 0
