Takashi Fujiwara put on his coat and rushed out the door. He knew that Haruna was the subject of Miki Kazuya's recent investigation. 0

As he opened the door, Takashi fished his phone out of his pocket and dialed Miki Kazuya's number, silently praying in his heart. 0

Stepping outside, Takashi found someone crouched by the door—Miki Kazuya, clad in a black down jacket. 0

"Take me somewhere," Miki Kazuya said without looking up. 0

"What happened? I mean..." Takashi asked. 0

"Take me somewhere," Miki Kazuya repeated. 0

Takashi grabbed Miki Kazuya by the arm. He wanted to ask for clarification but was taken aback by the redness in Miki Kazuya's eyes. 0

The car drove along Yonghe Main Road, and since getting in, Miki Kazuya hadn't said a word. He huddled in the back seat, his head bowed low. Takashi felt worried but didn’t know how to broach the subject, so he kept glancing at him through the rearview mirror. 0

About an hour later, they arrived at an open area on the outskirts, with a cemetery ahead of them. 0

Miki Kazuya walked skillfully down the narrow path, with Takashi following closely behind. A few people nearby were tidying up, and Takashi thought to himself that he should have bought a bouquet of flowers before coming. 0

Finally, they stopped at a black tombstone on their left, which bore the name "Mikitsu Uchi." Miki Kazuya's father rested there. 0

"Takashi Fujiwara, do you remember what we were investigating before?" Miki Kazuya asked. 0

"What are you talking about?" Takashi Fujiwara asked. 0

"When my father died, I always felt that it wasn't just a knife wound that killed him. Although the murderer eventually confessed, something still feels off," Miki Kazuya said, reaching out to wipe the dust off the tombstone, his tone calm. 0

"Ah, you think the hospital was involved," Takashi Fujiwara replied, knowing that Miki Kazuya had been investigating the cause of his father's death for a long time. 0

Over the years, they had visited many places together—various university hospitals and large general hospitals—but there were no records of any drug extractions. Moreover, the final examination results showed that there were no issues with heart function. 0

"It could also be something else, like potassium chloride. The heart anatomy didn't change; it should be an alteration in cardiac electrophysiology. The ECG before death showed signs of bradycardia, prolonged intervals, and conduction block. After death, aside from high blood potassium levels, nothing else could be found," Miki Kazuya explained. 0

Takashi Fujiwara ran his fingers through his hair, unsure why Miki Kazuya was suddenly fixated on this issue again. 0

"But we don't even know what kind of drug was used," Miki Kazuya said, seemingly disheartened as he sat down on the ground, hugging his knees and staring blankly ahead. 0

"What are you really thinking? We've already investigated so thoroughly," Takashi Fujiwara squatted beside him, a hint of urgency in his voice. 0

Those words struck a nerve with Miki Kazuya. He suddenly lifted his head, his gaze sharp: "We forgot one thing—some people can access those drugs without any records." 0

"Before Yamaguchi Haruna died, she told me something. She said Yukiho didn't deserve to be with Okamoto. Although Yukiho kept saying she wanted to stay at Nichido Planning, Haruna, who was following her, discovered that Yukiho was secretly practicing. It seems she was researching New Drug and would inject it into patients who were on the verge of death," Miki Kazuya's voice trembled slightly as he struggled to control his emotions. 0

Takashi Fujiwara felt a chill run down his spine. He had heard Miki Kazuya mention Yukiho before, but he couldn't remember who she was at all. 0

"Don't you understand? Yukiho is the daughter of the director of Zhongyang Hospital; she can get any drug she wants. It's definitely some big corporation wanting to eliminate certain people in collusion with the hospital. Those who appear to have 'accidental injuries' were not only not treated but were instead injected with some lethal substances," Miki Kazuya's voice grew quieter, as if he were speaking to himself. 0

"That doesn't make sense. Who would let their daughter do something like that?" Takashi Fujiwara countered, trying to find a logical flaw. 0

"What if it's the same person?" Miki Kazuya's face lost its earlier brightness, and there was a hint of despair in his voice. "What are we supposed to do if it's the same person?" 0

"Please, say something I can understand. How did Haruna die? What happened to Yukiho?" Takashi Fujiwara asked, growing anxious. He needed a clear answer. 0

"Morikawa Town Keiju District 3—201. If you need anything, find me there." Miki Kazuya pulled out a pen from his pocket and wrote down an address on Takashi Fujiwara's hand. He patted Takashi on the shoulder and walked away without looking back. Takashi Fujiwara wondered what Miki Kazuya was planning; he thought that for Haruna's sake, Miki would probably be gone for a while. 0

Takashi Fujiwara sat back down on the ground, squinting against the sunlight. 0
