"Received."
The greatest threat to Fierce Eagle had been neutralized, and the remaining Light Weapons ammunition posed little danger to his armor. It was time for him to counterattack. Fierce Eagle activated the scatter shot launcher on his back, and the barrel extended from his armor.
"Ammunition loading procedure in place. Please set the expected loading count."
"Thirty-two rounds. Blow them to pieces and load more."
"Understood."
Inside the Crimson Phoenix Armor, Xiao Ling began to display real-time data for An Xiaotian.
"Push forward! We have Artillery; he won't dare show himself!"
The leading soldier guided the others slowly toward the distant rocks, all their guns aimed tightly at the stones, unaware of any sound.
In an instant, they couldn't believe their eyes—Fierce Eagle stood up from behind the rocks! He clenched his fists, and dozens of barrels appeared behind him, blue flames flickering chaotically, forming a curved arc of light.
"Scatter Bomb!"
How could the soldiers following Dompey not understand the weapon systems of the Moon People? Panic ensued. After all, this armor was jointly manufactured by Nars and Dr. Chen Hao, with many weapon systems installed by Nars using Moon People’s logic. The Internal Elite Soldiers recognized this large-scale lethal individual weapon at a glance.
The sound of laser bullets flooded over Fierce Eagle's armor as soldiers frantically tried to fire back in an attempt to intimidate him. Fierce Eagle's legs dug into the ground like a rocket launcher stand, and over thirty Scatter Bombs with red and blue trails soared into the sky. After confirming their guidance in mid-air, they targeted all Internal Elite Soldiers in front of him.
"Spread out! Ah—"
But what good would that do? Fierce Eagle had set the ammunition count to over thirty just in case some soldiers slipped through.
The barrage spread across the ground in an instant, flames shooting into the sky. Moments later, silence enveloped the battlefield. Limbs lay scattered on the ground, a strong smell of blood filled the air, and a mist composed of blood particles floated around. The gray-brown soil sizzled with black smoke as guns that had been held by soldiers lay on top, scorched by intense heat before being crushed into the ground by Fierce Eagle's armor with a faint explosive sound.
The massive series of explosions made Nian Gui glance toward another part of the battlefield after smashing Blue Face Hero aside. Not only Nian Gui but also the other three paused their fighting; the fleeting brilliant fireworks next door signaled a temporary victory for The Celestial Warriors.
"Is this your soldier?" Blue Face Hero lowered his arm slightly and retorted sharply at Nian Gui.
A hint of a growl seemed to escape from Nian Gui's throat as he clenched his teeth tightly together.
"Two against four—what suspense is there?"
With that, Nightmarish emerged from the thicket near Artillery while Fierce Eagle landed beside the unguarded Quantum String Engine Locator, slamming his palm onto its defensive structure.
It seemed harmless at first glance, but upon closer inspection, it became clear that what Fierce Eagle held was a disc-shaped device emitting ripples against Nian Gui's mental barrier, sticking to it.
"This is a brainwave simulation resonator specifically designed by Nars to counter you. It will deliver a devastating blow to your Telekinesis weapons. Don't think you can look down on everything just because you can manipulate objects," Fierce Eagle pressed down as he spoke.
"Hahaha, what big words! Kid, why are you so confident?" Nian Gui surprisingly remained calm and mocked him. "I am the first master of Telekinesis in my sect and commander of the expeditionary force; do you think I can be defeated so easily?"
Strangely enough, he opened his mouth wide, and something unknown flew out like tentacles, rapidly growing around them and soon covering everyone's heads. It seemed to carry some kind of sound source that echoed in their ears.
"This is... ah!" Blue Face Hero suddenly realized—it's a suffocating barrier! This is a high-level Spell Art used by Ban Sa as well; once generated, all living beings inside will gradually have their airways eroded, filling their bodies with colloidal substances that block blood flow and pores until they suffocate!
"Everyone retreat immediately; don't look back!" He led by firing a Recoil Projectile while summoning a Thruster to propel himself out of the spell's boundary. As Fierce Eagle spread his mechanical wings and prepared to fly away, he saw Divine Fist and Nightmarish running backward on foot and immediately dove down to pick them up.
"Don't worry about us!" Divine Fist and Nightmarish shouted in unison. Divine Fist braced himself against Fierce Eagle's armor above them and hurled him away like tossing a paper airplane while shouting, "Every life counts; go quickly! Hurry... ugh!"
The barrier had already formed; their voices were cut off from the outside world. Just as Divine Fist and Nightmarish took a few steps back, the ground trembled like an earthquake beneath them with terrifying loud buzzing sounds as if they were standing on top of a giant bee. A pure white surface began pulling Nightmarish and Divine Fist upward. Blue Face Hero and Fierce Eagle attempted to rescue them from outside; however, the barrier generated was far tougher than either could imagine and could not be harmed in any way.
Divine Fist was trapped because he had been entangled by Stalker; when Nightmarish tried to help him, it was too late—the barrier had begun forming. Stalker emerged unscathed from within it, coldly watching Divine Fist frantically pound against the colorless barrier.
"Let me out!" Divine Fist yelled at Stalker; however, Stalker couldn't hear his shouts at all—she merely found him pitiful yet amusing.
"You can just wait inside until you suffocate," Stalker said to Divine Fist with an almost suppressed laugh as if watching a wild dog frantically struggle within a cage.
Since you want to ruin our plans—though they aren't completely ruined yet—I might as well take your lives as compensation; sounds fair enough, right? Nian Gui secretly rejoiced within himself.
"Weishan! That barrier can be broken! Dompey is maintaining and controlling this barrier with his mind. The greater the force you strike against it, the greater the impact on his brain. If he can't withstand it..."
A Telekinesis ball came flying, and Blue Face Hero leaped aside, continuing to speak in the team channel, "Then we can get out!"
"You're full of nonsense!" Nian Gui opened his left hand, sending Blue Face Hero soaring into the sky.
The suffocating barrier perfectly isolated sound waves, but it couldn't block electromagnetic waves. The team communication channel became the only mental support for the two trapped inside the barrier. Even so, Nightmare and Divine Fist found themselves at a loss—this barrier was harder than anything they had encountered on Earth. No matter how they attacked, it was futile, especially since both had clearly noticed changes in their bodies: oxygen deprivation. Outside the barrier, Fierce Eagle and Blue Face Hero were still locked in battle with Nian Gui and were unable to assist them.
Seeing this, Fierce Eagle immediately sprang up and charged at Nian Gui with a punch, but Nian Gui didn't even glance at him; the barrier generated beside him easily neutralized his attack.
"Xiaotian!" Blue Face Hero shouted. One of his eyes had surprisingly returned to human form—it was Liu Xuan. He conveyed some signal to Fierce Eagle with his gaze.
Suddenly remembering something, Fierce Eagle's mind raced. After retracting his fist from the barrier, a cannon barrel filled with gray-white energy surged up from the pulse conduit on his shoulder. However, the barrel did not aim at Nian Gui; instead, it curved to target the bicep area of Fierce Eagle's armor. Immediately, his entire arm, except for the fixed China infrared armor on the outside, was flooded with countless integrated wires channeling energy into his gathering fist!
"Charging threshold at 97%! Right arm disengaged from manual control; it will automatically swing upon reaching!" An Xiaotian watched as real-time data fluctuated within the armor's display and sternly commanded the internal AI Xiao Ling.
"Command will execute in three... two..."
"Vroom—"
With a punch downwards came a cannon blast! A pulse was sent from Fierce Eagle's fist onto Nian Gui's barrier, but this merely activated the true killer's ignition—a Brainwave Simulation Penetration Warhead trailing a laser tail let out a shrill whistle as it drilled into Nian Gui's barrier at supersonic speed. It had already penetrated into the Psychic Barrier; however, its explosion sound was fleeting, like a small stone stuck within the barrier. Its power rapidly diminished but continued to bore through the jelly-like Telekinesis wall at a visible speed.
"Unnecessary." Nian Gui was very confident in his defense. With one hand propping up the barrier and the other controlling Blue Face Hero, he began to close in. In an instant, Blue Face Hero found himself engulfed by nearly 3G of gravitational pressure from all sides. Even with Spell Arts protecting him, the intense sensation of bones compressing made Liu Xuan unable to suppress a scream.
"Sizzle—"
This sound startled Nian Gui, who was focused on using Telekinesis to subdue Blue Face Hero. He turned abruptly toward the breached barrier, his pupils dilating in shock as he saw the warhead about to explode right before him—his barrier had shattered!
"Ugh!" Blood sprayed as Nian Gui flew out in an arc; however, despite such a close-range explosion, Nian Gui's body remained intact as he rolled onto the ground far away, momentarily silent. Meanwhile, his prey Blue Face Hero suddenly lost control and fell under Earth's gravity. A gust of wind swept through as Blue Face Hero's vision darkened and he was caught up in it without understanding what was happening. Fierce Eagle caught Blue Face Hero but had no time to slow down; he quickly adjusted his position so that his back armor absorbed the massive impact against the ground. Only after settling did he cautiously release Blue Face Hero, who now had both Nars and Liu Xuan regaining consciousness and quickly rolling off him.
"Well saved; try to be more graceful next time," Liu Xuan said as he brushed off dust from An Xiaotian.
"It’s my first time saving someone too," Fierce Eagle replied as he pulled Blue Face Hero up. They both glanced at Dompey lying on the ground before looking toward the suffocating barrier to the south.
"They..."
"Dompey is either dead or alive; if he's dead that's best; if alive he'll be severely injured or crippled. The strength of the barrier will definitely be significantly weakened soon; they'll be able to get out quickly—trust me."
Before setting off, Nars had introduced everyone to special equipment designed specifically against Dompey—the Brainwave Simulation Penetration Warhead and Brainwave Resonance Generator. Here, brainwaves referred specifically to those of internal Humans because these devices were developed by Inner Beings as a technological countermeasure against internal Humans skilled in Spell Arts—a method that had proven effective against disciples under Nian Gui multiple times and had become a nightmare for internal Humans in Spell Arts territory. Although Nars had never used such weapons and wasn't proficient in them—he himself was studying Spell Arts—relying on these weapons would only foster dependency for him. However, among the five Space-time arsenals left by his father were special devices targeting various enemies or even individuals; naturally, Nian Gui was included.
Nars might not know how to use them, but An Xiaotian’s Crimson Phoenix Armor could certainly be utilized since he designed it himself. Therefore, both pieces of technology were fully mastered by An Xiaotian and put into simulated drills and practical use. Nian Gui had been highly vigilant against Nars; however, this led him to underestimate Earthlings and ultimately overlook An Xiaotian’s lethal threat—the left-hand man of Telekinesis master Emperor Ban Sa fell victim to what he deemed "savages."
Inside the suffocating barrier...
"Ah! Ah!" Divine Fist pounded fiercely against the barrier again and again; yet no matter how hard he tried, his efforts yielded no results.
"Is my power still insufficient...?"
Divine Fist's eyes trembled as his fingers gradually loosened; his palm pressed against the barrier while gazing outward. This feeling of helplessness brought him unprecedented despair because behind him lay Jiao An, unconscious on the ground.
He could barely hold on any longer; he felt an unknown substance filling his body—a material that sealed off any connection to the outside world. Oxygen deprivation was just the tip of the iceberg; true absolute suffocation was pushing him and Jiao An toward death's edge.
"I can't die... I can't..."
But Divine Fist's arms were already aching so much that they could barely lift anymore; overwhelming fatigue from oxygen deprivation caused his last line of defense—his eyes—to begin sinking into darkness.
"Is this where your life ends... Asian... boxing king..."
Divine Fist's head drooped down as he clenched and released his teeth repeatedly; saliva dripped from between his teeth onto the cold ground of the barrier. He didn't fall because Jiao An was still behind him; bearing an unprecedented heavy responsibility on his shoulders—even if Fierce Eagle and Blue Face Hero outside couldn't help him—he wanted to fight until his last breath as a boxer. He envisioned himself standing resolutely against the barrier with clenched fists until death claimed him.
Faint sounds from outside reached his ears; through blurred vision, he saw Nian Gui being blasted away—this meant that the strength of the barrier had been significantly weakened! Sound waves could now penetrate! He recalled Nars' words and witnessed everything firsthand—they could never abandon them! While they fought on their behalf, they were also rescuing Divine Fist and Nightmare!
Now is the time!
"I won't let you die, Sister Jiao An! Ugh—"
The gauntlet charged rapidly, red light flashing on his arm, the heat generated from the energy buildup had burned his arm to the point of complete numbness! The Charge Booster ignited to maximum power, flames engulfing his back as he burned with the last belief of the Divine Fist.
"Explode!" A blinding white light flickered before him, and the wind from outside blew through the cracks in the barrier, scattering tears from the eyes of the Divine Fist. "Explode—"
With a deafening roar, the Force Field of the barrier collapsed in an instant! At that moment, the Divine Fist shot into the sky like a streak of crimson fire, spinning upside down in midair, tracing a perfect arc before falling to the ground without a sound.
His heart raced faster, his vision gradually clearing up, and the fiery pain in his chest slowly cooled as if covered by a layer of ice. The Divine Fist curled up in pain, taking a long time to push himself up with his fists against the ground. The arc he had traced still lingered in the sky, faintly visible like a rainbow at his feet, while the shattered barrier crumbled at that instant, its fragments melting away like snow in the air.
"Weishan, how is it? We're here!"
An Xiaotian's voice rang in his ears, but the Divine Fist suddenly saw figures rising behind them. He wanted to call for help, but if they were distracted by him and Sister Jiao An, it might be too late.
"Don't... behind..." The Divine Fist stood up and turned to look at the motionless Nightmare on the ground before hoarsely shouting towards where the two were.
Their hearts sank immediately; however, when they turned back, Blue Face Hero was once again lifted into the air by Nian Gui. This time, Nian Gui was swift and efficient, directly throwing him away.
"Vamulel has such powerful technology; we need to deal with him first!"
After tossing Blue Face Hero aside, Nian Gui sent Fierce Eagle soaring into the air as well. In that instant, Fierce Eagle felt his body being pulled apart by two forces; he watched as pieces of his armor were forcibly ripped off him while his weapon systems rapidly disintegrated.
"Warning: Armor is undergoing forced disassembly! Please evacuate immediately!"
Fierce Eagle floated helplessly in midair like a lamb waiting for slaughter while Nian Gui continued to tear apart his armor.
At the front of the thicket on Big Birch, a pair of eyes captured all information from the battlefield above.
"What an opportunity!" Madwoman saw Nian Gui lying motionless and immediately got up to prepare for an assassination.
"Hiss—" However, Xiao Kuang was about to dash out but quickly hit the brakes and hid behind a large rock at the front.
To everyone's surprise, Nian Gui was actually lifted by his own Telekinesis and stood before everyone full of life again. His super brain had saved him; at that critical moment, without any conscious command from Nian Gui, it activated Telekinesis for active defense and blocked the deadly explosion from reaching him.
"You've lost," Nian Gui grinned at Fierce Eagle, who was gradually being dismantled by him. "Did you not notice something missing?"
Fierce Eagle suddenly remembered what he had just slapped onto Nian Gui—the Quantum String Engine Locator—and exclaimed, "Where's the Energy Column?!"
Everything fell right into Nian Gui's hands.
Nian Gui had instructed Stalker that if necessary, she must quietly relocate the Quantum String Engine Locator alone. Unfortunately for them, he succeeded. Dismantling Fierce Eagle's countermeasure left on the Quantum String Engine Locator was child's play for Stalker, one of the best assassins among internal Humans.
"Damn it!" Blue Face Hero said, "I always underestimate him; that old fox!"
