As time passed, Xiaocui and Shen Qingya's relationship deepened. They were not just a master and servant; they were more like indispensable friends in each other's lives. Xiaocui used her knowledge from her rebirth to quietly influence Shen Qingya's life.
In the garden of the estate, the figures of the two little girls became the warmest scenery. They read books together, studied together, and discussed the world outside the estate. Xiaocui always managed to provide Shen Qingya with new insights and encouragement at the right moments.

In the following days, Xiaocui began teaching Shen Qingya some basic arithmetic and bookkeeping skills. Shen Qingya learned quickly and soon became proficient in handling some basic accounts. Her intelligence surprised Xiaocui and strengthened her resolve to protect Shen Qingya.
However, life in the estate was not always peaceful. The shadow of the new mistress, Wu Qing, loomed over them. Xiaocui knew she had to be more careful to ensure that Shen Qingya would not come to any harm.
One night, Xiaocui patrolled outside Shen Qingya's room to ensure everything was safe. She heard Wu Qing's footsteps and felt a tightening in her chest. She quietly followed her to understand Wu Qing's intentions.
Wu Qing arrived outside Shen Qingya's room, seemingly wanting to do something. Xiaocui held her breath nervously, ready to take action at any moment. However, Wu Qing merely stood outside the door, took a deep look inside, then turned and left.
Xiaocui let out a sigh of relief but knew that this was only a temporary calm. She had to work harder to ensure Shen Qingya's safety and happiness.
On that starry night, Xiaocui and Shen Qingya sat on a swing in the garden, gazing up at the sky full of stars.
“Xiaocui, thank you,” Shen Qingya said softly. “With you by my side, I feel very at ease.”
Xiaocui held Shen Qingya's hand, her heart filled with warmth. “Miss, I will always be by your side, protecting you and supporting you.”
Both little girls were filled with hope and determination. Under Xiaocui's guidance, Shen Qingya began to learn to let go of the past, cherish the present, and face the future bravely. All of this would become their precious wealth in changing their destinies.
As the seasons changed, Xiaocui and Shen Qingya's friendship quietly grew in the manor, like flowers blooming silently in the garden, vibrant yet unnoticed. Xiaocui always had a goal in her heart: to use her advantage of rebirth to pave a different path for Shen Qingya than the one she had in her previous life.
One day, Xiaocui encountered Grandpa Li near the stables in the manor. He was the old servant who took care of the horses, aged yet still spirited. Xiaocui knew that although Grandpa Li held a low position, his knowledge and wisdom were unmatched in the manor.
Xiaocui stepped forward and respectfully bowed to Grandpa Li. “Grandpa Li, Xiaocui pays her respects.”
Grandpa Li turned around and, seeing Xiaocui, broke into a kind smile. “Xiaocui, my girl, what brings you here to find this old man today?”
Xiaocui hesitated for a moment, then gathered her courage to share her plans and confusion with Grandpa Li. She hoped to receive guidance from this wise elder.
After listening, Grandpa Li fell silent for a moment before slowly speaking. “Xiaocui, you are still young; there are many paths ahead in life. Remember, happiness is the most important thing. Don’t let past events overshadow the happiness before you.”
Xiaocui was taken aback; she hadn’t expected such advice from Grandpa Li. But she quickly realized that this was exactly the wisdom she needed: not to be bound by the shadows of the past but to live in the present and cherish every bit of joy.
“Grandpa Li, I understand,” Xiaocui said with determination shining in her eyes. “I will work hard to make Miss happy and prepare for our future.”
Grandpa Li nodded approvingly. “Good child, go ahead and do what you believe is right.”
Xiaocui bid farewell to Grandpa Li, her heart filled with strength. She decided that not only would she bring joy to Shen Qingya, but she would also lay a solid foundation for their future through her own efforts.
In the days that followed, Xiaocui began to participate more actively in the affairs of the household. She used her intelligence to help solve some minor issues, gradually earning the respect and trust of others in the household.
At the same time, with Shen Qingya's tacit approval, she started to engage in some matters outside the household. Through small transactions, she accumulated a little private money for both Shen Qingya and herself. Although the amount was not large, it was their first step towards independence.
