Baiyue Village is a small village primarily engaged in port business, as it is adjacent to the bustling Moon City. Baiyue Village serves as a port responsible for transporting and importing various resources for Moon City. As the dawn breaks, the port is already bustling with people coming and going, busily starting their day’s work. Cargo ships are docked at the pier, and dockworkers are unloading goods, with shouts and the sound of water intertwining to create a scene of activity. 0

Lin Yu knows that Xiao Yun's family cannot possibly stay in such a lively place for long. They must have left the densely populated area and escaped to a more secluded location. However, at this moment, he is struggling without any information and can only wander through the market, trying to gather useful tidbits. 0

As Lin Yu weaves through the market, he carefully observes everything around him. Vendors are setting up their stalls, calling out to sell fresh fish, vegetables, and various daily necessities. Lin Yu's gaze sweeps continuously, his ears catching every possible clue. He knows time is short; Cao Ling's pursuers could arrive at any moment, and he must find Xiao Yun's family quickly. 0

Passing by a fish stall, Lin Yu overhears a few workers speaking in hushed tones: “I heard something big happened in Lianba Village last night; a bunch of soldiers moved in and searched the entire village.” 0

Another worker nods, glancing around mysteriously before whispering, “Yeah, there are rumors that the Xia Family still has descendants!” 0

A third worker looks at him in shock: “What nonsense are you talking about? The Xia Family was wiped out by the Shadow Guard long ago!” 0

Hearing this conversation, Lin Yu's heart tightens; he knows this must be related to Xiao Yun. 0

The third worker glances around fearfully and whispers, “Don’t mention their names out loud! You never know if someone is listening; be careful not to attract trouble!” 0

Lin Yu feels a surge of interest and immediately moves closer, pretending to be casual as he asks, “Excuse me, brothers, what’s the situation with the people who escaped you were just talking about?” 0

One of the workers looks at him suspiciously and replies, “Who are you? Why are you so curious?” 0

Lin Yu puts on a friendly smile: “I’m here looking for relatives; I heard they might be involved in something related to what you mentioned.” 0

The worker shrugs and says mysteriously, “It’s nothing much; just that there was a commotion over in Lianba Village last night. I heard one family managed to escape. But no one knows where they went.” 0

Lin Yu nodded and said gratefully, "Thank you, this is very helpful to me." 0

The worker frowned and asked, "Brother... your relatives aren't getting into any serious trouble, are they?" 0

Lin Yu smiled and shook his head, "They didn't come from Lianba Village, but thank you anyway." 0

After that, Lin Yu left the market, pondering the worker's words. It seemed that Xiao Yun's family must have evacuated the village at night, but for a family to be here, they must have someone looking after them to find a place to stay. He needed to find out where they were hiding and meet up with them. 0

As Lin Yu moved through the market, he thought about Zhang Dashan's profession. Zhang Dashan was a blacksmith whose weapons, tools, and other iron items were often shipped to Baiyue Village and then sold by local middlemen to merchants inside Moon City. Therefore, Lin Yu knew that there must be people in the market who had long-term dealings with Zhang Dashan. He decided to start from this angle; perhaps he could find useful clues. 0

The market was bustling with crowds, various stalls filled with goods, and the sounds of buying and selling echoed everywhere. Lin Yu carefully observed each stall, paying special attention to those selling ironware and tools. He understood that among these people, there must be some who had long-term cooperation with Zhang Dashan. 0

After passing several stalls selling ironware, Lin Yu finally stopped in front of a stall filled with various exquisite tools and weapons. The stall owner was a middle-aged man with a friendly face who was busy attending to customers. Lin Yu examined the ironware closely and noticed that many of them bore Zhang Dashan's distinctive forging marks. 0

Lin Yu approached and pretended to browse through the ironware, casually asking, "Boss, these tools and weapons look really good; who made them?" 0

The stall owner looked up at Lin Yu and smiled, "These are all crafted by Master Zhang Dashan from Lianba Village; his skills are well-known far and wide." 0

Lin Yu then asked, "Who is the middleman responsible for importing ironware at the port?" 0

The stall owner stroked his chin thoughtfully and said, "It should be Lao Liu; he handles quite a lot of import and export goods at the port." 0

Lin Yu nodded and said gratefully, "Thank you very much, this is very helpful. Where can I find Lao Liu?" 0

The vendor pointed towards the alley. "It's the last house at the end of the alley." 0

Lin Yu thanked him again and turned to leave, quickly heading towards the end of the alley. The alley was sparsely populated, with only a few pedestrians hurrying by. The narrow path was littered with some packaging paper and trash. Most of the houses on either side were small shops and warehouses, their doors and windows tightly shut, with only a few places emitting faint light. 0

Following the vendor's directions, Lin Yu walked steadily and swiftly, soon arriving at the last house at the end of the alley. A wooden sign hung in front of the door, reading "Liu's Trading." In front of the entrance were several large wooden crates and burlap sacks, suggesting that a batch of goods had just been moved in or out. 0

Lin Yu paused, took a deep breath, and knocked on the door. After a moment, the door opened, and an elderly man with graying temples peeked out. Upon seeing Lin Yu, he hesitated slightly. 0

"Who are you?" Lao Liu asked, his eyes revealing a hint of wariness and curiosity. 0

Lin Yu addressed Lao Liu, "Are you Lao Liu? Last night... did anyone come looking for you?" 0

A flicker of caution crossed Lao Liu's eyes, and he hurriedly replied, "No..." Before he could finish his sentence, he quickly shut the door. Inside, there was a sound of hurried movement and things being knocked over. 0

Lin Yu's heart tightened as he realized that Lao Liu was trying to escape. He swiftly climbed onto the roof and saw Lao Liu rushing out through the back door, running towards the alley behind the market. Lin Yu didn't dare to delay; he immediately sprinted across the rooftops, following Lao Liu's figure. 0

Although Lao Liu moved quickly, his age prevented him from being as agile as a younger person. Lin Yu, trained as a Shadow Guard, skillfully leaped between rooftops, keeping his eyes fixed on Lao Liu's silhouette. 0

Lao Liu navigated through several narrow alleys in an attempt to shake off his pursuer, but Lin Yu remained close behind. Fearful in his heart, Lao Liu ran faster and even accidentally knocked over a few stalls, drawing curses from vendors. From above, Lin Yu had a clear view of every move Lao Liu made. 0

Finally, in a dead-end alley, Lao Liu found himself with nowhere to escape. Breathing heavily, he turned around to see Lin Yu jumping down from the roof and standing coldly in front of him. Terror and despair filled Lao Liu's eyes as he trembled and said, "Who... who are you? Why are you chasing me?" 0
