Chapter 7: Risking One's Life
Chasing Wind's confession deeply shocked Wen Qingyu. It was false to say she remained unmoved, but having just experienced a painful love, she had no strength left to discuss love.
As if seeing through Wen Qingyu's thoughts, Chasing Wind tacitly refrained from bringing up the matter again.

Traveling to the Shu Region had shortcuts that could be taken, allowing them to arrive in just over ten days. However, it involved climbing mountains and crossing ridges, which would be exceptionally difficult given Wen Qingyu's condition. They had no choice but to take the official road.
The steward prepared a carriage for the two of them, filled with clothing and supplies.
On the day of departure, Steward wiped away tears and earnestly reminded Chasing Wind, "Young Master, you must take good care of the Young Mistress on your journey."
Green Bud also said similar words, but Chasing Wind did not respond to Steward with the same indifference he showed to Green Bud. He solemnly replied to Steward, "Chasing Wind will risk his life to ensure that Qing Yu is safe."
His gaze turned towards Wen Qingyu, who avoided Chasing Wind's eyes, but her face flushed with heat.
