Guoguo glanced at Murong Xiuxian, not daring to retort, and went to the changing room to put on her dress. By the time she came out, Murong Xiuxian was no longer in the room.
Leaving Murong Xiuxian's room, Guoguo successfully arrived at the front door under the guidance of a maid.
"His house is really big," Guoguo said to herself as she stood at the entrance, looking at the large villa that resembled the White House.
Suddenly, a cold voice sounded behind Guoguo, startling her: "Get in the car."
Guoguo slowly turned around, still shaken.
It was Murong Xiuxian.
Since Murong Xiuxian had walked out of the room, worried that Guoguo might faint on the way, he thought it wouldn't hurt to see her off.
Murong Xiuxian was sitting in the driver's seat of a Silver Sports Car, his arm resting on the window as his cold black eyes scrutinized Guoguo.
This girl was quite pretty; he really didn't understand why she chose to make herself look plain.
"Why should I get in the car?" Guoguo asked, feeling confused.
"You talk too much. Just get in!"
Guoguo realized that Murong Xiuxian was very easy to anger, so she reluctantly got into the car and sat in the passenger seat.
"Fasten your seatbelt," Murong Xiuxian reminded, turning the steering wheel as the Silver Sports Car sped away.
Guoguo obediently fastened her seatbelt as instructed.
Through the rearview mirror, Murong Xiuxian looked at Guoguo's face. "Tell me your home address."
"I don't have a home." Indeed, Guoguo's family had been shattered.
Upon hearing this, Murong Xiuxian was taken aback and after a long pause, asked, "What about your parents?"
"My mom passed away from heart disease two years ago. My dad was in debt from gambling, and our house was confiscated," Guoguo said, her expression somber as she choked on her words.
"Where are you living now?" Guoguo's situation touched Murong Xiuxian's cold heart.
"In the school dormitory. If you're going to drop me off, just take me back to school," Guoguo said, trying hard to hold back her tears.
Murong Xiuxian fell silent, driving without a word.
A strange sound broke the silence.
"Gurgle gurgle..."
The sound came from Guoguo's stomach...
Last night, Guoguo only ate half of a Red Bean Cream Bun. It has been hours since then, and I haven't had a drop of water; it's no wonder I'm not hungry.
