Han Min sat on the bed, wiping the sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand. Wondering what time it was, she turned to glance at the clock on the wall, which was adorned with a golden border. Her expression changed immediately, and she screamed as she jumped out of bed, "Oh no! I'm late!"
In a panic, she hurriedly put on her shoes and adjusted her clothes, shouting at Guo Jingjing, who was still sound asleep, "Jingjing, wake up! Stop sleeping and get up!"
Perhaps Han Min's volume was too loud, as both Guoguo and Guo Jingjing opened their eyes. Just as Guo Jingjing was about to ask what was wrong, she heard Han Min exclaim, "It's eight o'clock! Jingjing, we're late! Why are you still lying there? Get up!"
Upon hearing it was eight o'clock, Guoguo and Guo Jingjing instantly lost all sleepiness.
Guo Jingjing hurriedly got out of bed and put on her shoes. Before she could steady herself, Han Min grabbed her wrist and rushed out of One Ward. From a distance, they could hear Guoguo's voice: "Be careful on the way! Don't get caught by the principal!"

Han Min and Guo Jingjing rushed back to school without stopping. They arrived at the classroom door just as the bell rang for class to end and happened to bump into the principal walking down from the podium and quickly exiting the classroom.
Seeing the principal's face twisted in anger, Han Min and Guo Jingjing felt a chill run down their spines. They suddenly remembered that the previous class had been political science!
Guo Jingjing instinctively hid behind Han Min. Han Min swallowed hard and forced a smile, saying, "G-Good morning, Principal. You look... particularly beautiful today..."
Beautiful? With her round face, thick lips, bushy eyebrows, and big eyes, not to mention the pimples on her face, she looked absolutely terrible.
"Stop with the flattery; I’m not falling for that!" The principal interpreted Han Min's compliment as mockery and became even angrier. "Han Min, Guo Jingjing, you two are late for school! Especially you, Han Min! How dare you mock me? I’m punishing you to write a 3,000-word reflection paper. Hand it in at noon! If you don’t submit it by then, pack your bags and get out of Vidorna Academy!"
With cold sweat dripping from their foreheads, Han Min and Guo Jingjing braced themselves for punishment—either running ten laps around the playground or standing in a 'golden rooster stance' for an entire morning. They were somewhat incredulous about being assigned a 3,000-word reflection paper instead but still secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Watching the figure of the Director of Education disappear around the corner of the hallway, Han Min and Guo Jingjing wiped away their cold sweat.
