After stepping out of the Cafeteria, the fear in the eyes of Guoguo and the others gradually faded, and their complexions returned to normal.
On the Flowerbed Path, Han Min couldn't suppress the doubts in his heart and exclaimed, "What the hell does that bastard want?!"
"Who knows! But my heart almost jumped out just now," Guo Jingjing said, patting her chest, still feeling shaken.
"He usually eats at the stage; why did he come to the Cafeteria today?" Guoguo also expressed confusion, then shrugged and said helplessly, "No matter what he wants, we just need to be careful."
Since Guoguo applied to the homeroom teacher Liu Ming to skip evening self-study and received approval, Guoguo didn't have to attend evening self-study. After sending Han Min and Guo Jingjing to the first floor of the teaching building and watching them go upstairs until their figures disappeared around the corner of the stairs, Guoguo turned and walked toward the Girls' Dormitory Building.
Back in Dormitory 0, Guoguo took a shower, changed into a simple dress, put on canvas shoes, and stepped out of Dormitory 0.
By this time, night had fallen. Guoguo walked along the dimly lit campus path, step by step toward the school gate.
After exiting the school gate, she walked further away, presumably looking for a job.
As a minor, it's not summer or winter break now; finding a good job is harder than climbing a mountain.
Guoguo was gone for three hours. When she returned, she looked dejected, indicating that she hadn't found a job.
Just as she stepped back onto campus, the school bell rang. Students from the first to fourth floors of the teaching building poured out of their classrooms and rushed down the stairs after evening self-study.
When Guoguo reached the stairway at the first floor of the Girls' Dormitory Building, she heard Han Min's voice behind her: "Guoguo, did you find a job?"
Guoguo turned around and saw Han Min and Guo Jingjing. He smiled wryly and said, "I didn't find anything."
"Don't be discouraged. There will always be work. Just keep looking tomorrow," Han Min said, while Guo Jingjing beside him spoke in a soft voice filled with encouragement.
"Yeah," Guoguo replied, his throat slightly hoarse.
Back at Dormitory 0, Guoguo said "good night" to the two of them before slipping on his slippers and going to bed. Today, Guoguo felt particularly exhausted.
While job hunting, Guoguo tried to contact his father Tang Zongchen, but he couldn't reach him no matter what.
