When Qiluo Ling woke up, she found herself lying under the Centennial Tree. The magical castle from her dream had vanished, and the soulless demon was nowhere to be seen. However, the Demonic Music - Second Movement continued to play in her mind, lingering persistently.
The surroundings were silent, except for the gentle sound of flowing water, the earthy scent of the soil, and the fresh fragrance of the grass. Qiluo Ling did not get up immediately; instead, she lay quietly on the grass, breathing in the unique scent of the depths of the forest, occasionally looking up at the Source of Life's Centennial Tree.
Qiluo Ling crossed her hands behind her head, pondering that the place where she lay might be where Natalie, her lover, was resurrected or perhaps where countless corpses had turned to ashes. She had once thought that death was the end of life, like a sequence of time. But now she understood that death and life were a pair of twins; they were one entity, and the existence of life inevitably included death.
Strong sunlight streamed through the dense branches and leaves of the old tree, shining down in beams like invisible sharp blades. The most intense beam fell upon the butterfly pattern on her right upper arm.
Qiluo Ling felt a tearing pain and turned to look; the butterfly pattern on her arm went from translucent and bright to bloodily blurred. Upon closer inspection, she realized that blood was seeping out from the birthmark on her right arm.
Qiluo Ling's face turned pale as the pain gradually intensified, causing her to close her eyes in discomfort. After an unknown amount of time, the pain seemed to lessen significantly. She opened her eyes again and suddenly noticed that the image before her appeared somewhat different.
The surrounding scenery remained unchanged; the only difference was that a huge and strange pattern made of blue light appeared on the green grass beside her.
Qiluo Ling could hardly believe her eyes. Was this beam pattern real or just a figment of her imagination? She rubbed her eyes vigorously; no doubt about it—it truly existed within her line of sight.
A sense of confusion arose within Qiluo Ling. Why had this strange pattern suddenly appeared? What did it represent?
At that moment, Qiluo Ling suddenly realized that the pain in her body had mysteriously vanished. She looked closely at her right arm, which was perfectly fine as if the injury and bleeding had never occurred.
Qiluo Ling quickly got up from the ground and walked toward the center of the grass. The strange blue light pattern on the grass amazed her. Rather than resembling a mere pattern, it looked more like a totem.
Furrowing her brow, Qiluo Ling scrutinized it carefully; this totem seemed familiar as if she had seen it somewhere before. She struggled to capture traces in her memory. Finally, she recalled that if she was not mistaken, it should be the legendary Reversed Life Tree Totem.
The Reversed Life Tree Totem composed of beams consists of ten Rings, with 22 Light Paths connecting the Rings. The Old Testament in the Bible records that the Reversed Life Tree is located at the center of Eden. This is the same as the Tree of Life mentioned in Genesis.
Judaism believes that humanity must traverse the 22 paths marked by the Reversed Life Tree to reach the ten circles, embarking on a meditative journey until reaching the Crown. Additionally, it is said that each circle has an Archangel to guard and guide people.
Upon realizing this, she suddenly understood the meaning of this Source of Life Centennial Tree. This totem is the blueprint of God's creation of the universe, or what can be called the structure of the divine body. It exists as a true entity, a three-dimensional universe, which is the universe we inhabit.
Qiluo Ling blinked and once again saw a man dressed in white standing in the center of the halo. He was vague and indistinct, as if he came from a strange space, more like being trapped in a chaotic void.
"Who are you?" Qiluo Ling asked.
The White-Clad Man remained silent, quietly watching her.
"I didn't mean to intrude into your world. When I woke up and opened my eyes, I saw this totem and curiously approached it," Qiluo Ling said calmly.
At that moment, a faint sound of an Ancient Piano echoed from afar, with beautiful music that felt familiar, as if deeply engraved in Qiluo Ling's mind. She forgot her current situation and immersed herself in appreciation until the last note slowly faded into the air.
"Are you going to kill me?" Qiluo Ling suddenly asked after coming back to her senses.
The White-Clad Man remained silent.
"You can end my life; after all, I will die on the night of the full moon," Qiluo Ling said calmly.
The White-Clad Man still showed no reaction, seemingly unable to understand what Qiluo Ling was saying.
Qiluo Ling let out a slight sigh and looked down at the enormous totem on the ground.
"The tenth Ring is the path to the Soul of Music's Divine Gate. Find the Divine Gate, and you will find the Devil's Music Second Movement," the White-Clad Man suddenly spoke, his voice soft like a gentle breeze.
"What did you say?" Caught off guard, Qiluo Ling did not catch his words clearly.
The White-Clad Man chuckled lightly, and before Qiluo Ling could react, the totem formed by blue beams of light vanished along with him.
