The two of them did not speak a word along the way; their deliberate silence felt more like the calm before a storm.
The car stopped in front of the Purple Gold Club. Green Qi turned to glance at the man, who was radiating hostility, rolled her eyes in silence, unbuckled her seatbelt, and pushed the door open to get out.
As soon as her feet touched the ground, the man behind her brushed past her and stepped into the club first, leaving her with nothing but his domineering back.
Watching the man who intentionally tried to leave her behind, Green Qi cursed inwardly. However, in this completely unfamiliar environment, she could only follow closely behind him.
The Purple Gold Club got its name from the countless high-end purple gold glass decorations inside. She had heard that the powerful figure behind the Purple Gold Club was extremely influential; otherwise, it wouldn't have become a favored place for wealthy young people in City A.
So absorbed was she in admiring the interior decor of the Purple Gold Club that she didn't realize the man ahead had vanished from sight. When she finally came to her senses and looked ahead, she was instantly dumbfounded. Hesitating whether to continue forward or leave, she knew that Jiang Chengmu would definitely come looking for her if she left.
Thinking about having to swallow her pride and speak first made her head throb. Green Qi glanced around; the spacious hall had no familiar faces in sight. The purple gold glass reflected circles of light through the lamps, creating layers of dazzling yet soft halos.
When she approached the front desk to inquire about Jiang Chengmu's reserved room number, the staff directly refused to disclose it, citing customer privacy. She could only lower her head and prepare to call Jiang Chengmu on her phone, only to realize that her bag had been left in the car!
In an instant, she felt like crying without tears!
Jiang Chengmu must have thrown her into this high-end, heavily guarded club lobby intending to torment her!
With a light sigh, she glanced at a nearby sofa. Waiting here couldn't be wrong; at least it would keep Jiang Chengmu from bothering her.
At that moment, a black Bentley slowly came to a stop at the entrance.
Three figures entered the hall while chatting, and the receptionist respectfully approached them. Before he could speak, Nie Fengling turned to Mu Tongzi and winked, saying, "There are beautiful women over there!"
Mu Tongzi ignored him; this was a high-end club, so what was so special about pretty women?
Seeing that Mu Tongzi was not interested, Nie Fengling awkwardly touched his nose. The group continued walking forward, but he stubbornly glanced again at the figure sitting on the sofa. "Oh? That beauty is actually Mrs. Jiang!"
Coming back to his senses from Nie Fengling's words, Mu Tongzi tilted his head to look ahead. His dark eyes fell on the figure sitting on the sofa, who was clearly looking around.
"It seems like she's looking for someone. Xia Yu, why don't you go over and ask if she needs help?" That area was designated for customer registration; sitting there for too long would likely be quite awkward.
"Okay!" Xia Yu replied and walked towards the woman sitting on the sofa.
Seeing Xia Yu approach, Gu Lvq Qi was momentarily taken aback but then smiled politely. She turned to look at the two indistinct figures at the entrance and was just about to speak when Xia Yu asked first, "Mrs. Jiang, are you waiting for someone?"
Looking at the unfamiliar face in front of her, Gu Lvq Qi blurted out, "I'm waiting for Jiang Shao!"
Upon hearing her response, Xia Yu was slightly taken aback but quickly understood. "Why doesn't Mrs. Jiang go inside?"
Gu Lvq Qi initially didn't want to answer since they weren't close, but after thinking it over, she decided to tell him anyway. "I don't know which private room he's in; the front desk wouldn't tell me, and I didn't bring my phone."
Before Xia Yu could respond, a rich and familiar voice came from behind him. "So you're just sitting here like a fool waiting?"
Hearing his voice, Gu Lvq Qi looked up at the two men approaching from behind Xia Yu, with Mu Tongzi leading the way.
