The stairs led to the room, a distance neither long nor short. She followed his steps, inexplicably fond of this sense of peace, to the point that she didn't want to stop even when they reached the end.
The spacious study exuded a faint Ink Fragrance, along with a Plant Fragrance similar to that on him.
It was her first time here, and she raised her gaze to survey her surroundings. The entire study was in a traditional Chinese style, with a Carved Moon Gate dividing the room into two distinct functional areas. The outer area was the Executive Area, featuring an exquisite Rosewood Desk and Chairs and a unique Wooden Carved Bookshelf. In front of the wooden lattice window stood a pair of Blue and White Porcelain Vases, giving the space an antique yet elegant atmosphere.
Entering the inner Leisure Area, she noticed a row of Tea Racks placed by the left window, while on the right was a set of vintage sofas. By the window was a Daybed, with Natural Wood Color and Light Green decor that filled the space with the unique elegance of a Water Town.
Seeing him sitting on the Daybed by the window, she paused her steps, placing her Briefcase on one side of the sofa. She looked over at the man by the window and asked, "What do you want from me? Is there another problem with Wind Dust Group?"
"No." He pulled out a document from his Briefcase and waved her over. "Come here."
She walked over and sat beside him, reaching out to take the document he handed her. "What is this?"
"This is important information regarding Wind Dust Group. Take it home and read it carefully; I can explain anything you don't understand." He turned slightly, lazily lying down, deep light flickering in his eyes. "My help with Wind Dust Group is only temporary. Your father is getting older, and you are his only daughter. Wind Dust Group will eventually be handed over to you. If you want to manage the group well, you can only rely on yourself."
"But I don't understand anything! How can I help?" She had studied design, not finance or management; she felt completely lost when it came to business matters.
She had originally thought she could find a husband who could help her father shoulder the responsibilities, but now she realized that her current husband not only wasn't helping manage the company but also harbored ambitions to take it for himself. This shattered her remaining hope.
Now she felt utterly confused, like a ship without the guidance of a lighthouse, unable to find its way.
"No one is born knowing everything. If you don't understand, just learn properly. Your father has seven or eight years until retirement; what can't you learn in that time?"
"That's true, relying on oneself is the most reliable..." After carefully pondering over his words, she looked up at him, grasping his arm with a serious expression, "Can you teach me about the company's matters from now on?"
"I can teach you, but there are conditions." Among the women he knew, she was one of the smarter ones, clearly understanding what she wanted and not easily swayed by her surroundings. With proper guidance, she might surpass him.
"What conditions?" She knew she couldn't take advantage of him!
However, for the sake of her future plans, even if there were conditions, she had to agree. After all, a man as cunning as him could change his mind in an instant; she didn't want him to backtrack later.
"Condition One: Get all the necessary items for me, mainly clothes and shoes for various occasions. Your taste is good, so this shouldn't be a problem for you." As he spoke, he pulled out a Black Card from his wallet and handed it to her. "This card has no limit; buy whatever you want without worrying about saving money for me."
