In contrast to his cold aura, Nie Fengling, who accompanied him, was warm like spring. She casually swiped on her iPad with a charming smile on her lips, making her seem approachable.
As the Design Director, Green Qi was already overwhelmed by this surprise inspection. Relying on all the information she had gathered in her mind and the initial plans presented by various departments, she began her report.
She thought the President was just there to make an appearance; however, to her surprise, the man in the Chairman's Seat listened more intently than anyone else in the room. He raised several tricky questions during her presentation, and she stammered through her responses while he looked at her indifferently, making her feel guilty and unable to lift her head.
Fortunately, he did not continue to press her. Even though some of her answers were vague, he did not point it out. A heavy atmosphere spread throughout the conference room as she was once again forced to take the lead and became the first target of criticism.
Shifting her gaze away from the iPad, Mu Tongzi glanced coolly at the woman beside her and spoke without any mercy: "The entire plan is full of flaws. The timeline is inappropriate, detail issues have not been addressed properly, and there are conflicts in personnel allocation between departments. As the Design Director, is this how you arrange things?"
"I'm sorry, President. Due to time constraints, detail issues still need to be discussed with the heads of each department, so..." Let him scold me; if it makes him feel better inside, then my days ahead might be easier.
"Instead of spending time on scandals, you should spend more time on work. I have great confidence in Director Gu's capabilities; don't let me down!"
"Yes, President!" Lowering her head, Green Qi replied weakly.
Without needing to raise her head, she could clearly feel the gazes of all the attendees directed at her. The rumors about her and Jiang Chengmu had stirred up quite a commotion.
