"Keep your eyes where they should be!" The man in the main seat spoke coldly. Hearing that chilling voice, Green Qi couldn't help but shiver!
Blinking, she slowly withdrew her gaze from Hua Liunian and turned her head, not missing the amused look in Hua Liunian's eyes. Blushing slightly, she glared at the man beside her who was looking over, and said irritably, "Just eat your food!"
Ignoring the furrowed brow of the man, she turned to face Hua Liunian with curiosity, "Mr. Hua, how did you become a doctor?"
"Well, I don't really want to be a doctor; I prefer being a soldier..." He paused for a moment, fearing she hadn't heard him clearly, and added, "I used to be a Military Doctor. City Hospital is a family business, and I'm back to help out."
"Oh, Doctor Hua is truly great!" Nodding her head, she still couldn't understand how someone like him, who seemed both righteous and wicked, managed to pass the organization's tests to become a soldier.
"It's ridiculous that you can call yourself a soldier when you don't even have any discipline!" The man in the main seat snorted in dissatisfaction, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
Hua Liunian glanced at the dissatisfied man and smiled innocently. "Back then, Mu Shao was also a soldier, but now he has become a businessman."
"..." In the main seat, Mu Tongzi frowned and shot him a glare. "Just eat your food and stop talking so much nonsense!"
"Mu Shao was also a soldier?" Green Qi asked in confusion.
"Yeah, he was an Expert in the army." Hua Liunian squinted his eyes and gestured toward the man beside him. "Now he has become the formidable Mu Zong."
"Oh... I see!" Green Qi turned to look at the man in the main seat who was eating with his head down, appearing indifferent and making it hard to read his thoughts.
Hearing her tone, Hua Liunian was somewhat surprised. He glanced at the still calm man before looking back at Green Qi's inquisitive expression. "What? He didn't tell you any of this?"
Green Qi shook his head and said, "No."
Given their current relationship, how could he possibly tell her these things? Understanding his past was a responsibility reserved for a girlfriend, while she was merely a woman responsible for warming his bed, with neither the right nor the obligation to know.
It was even harder to imagine what he had been like when he was a soldier; certainly, it was different from the refined and elegant image of a young master from a prestigious family that he presented now.
No wonder that inherent dominance remained unchanged even after he became a businessman; it turned out he had once experienced such glorious times.
With a light laugh, Hua Liunian looked at Green Qi with a half-smile, "It's better if he tells you about his past himself. You might not believe it if it comes from me."
"Oh." She nodded and secretly glanced at Mu Tongzi, not asking further.
After finishing dinner, Mu Tongzi did not linger and led Hua Liunian out the door.
Sitting in the passenger seat, Hua Liunian watched the reluctant farewell between the two and couldn't hide her curiosity and surprise. Once Mu Tongzi got into the car, she couldn't help but ask, "I mean, Mu Shao, you are quite impressive! Have you already won her over?"
In the driver's seat, Mu Tongzi replied without changing his expression, "She has long been my woman; Jiang Chengmu is just her nominal husband."
His calm tone without any emotional fluctuations made Hua Liunian's eyelids twitch. "If this gets back to the Mu Family, that you, the distinguished young master of the Mu Family, have fallen for a married woman, wouldn't that cause quite a stir?"
