"Mm." Mu Tongzi nodded, subtly withdrawing her gaze from Green Qi and turning to glance at the woman who had linked her arm with hers. She calmly introduced, "This is Kang Shao, this is Miss Yin, and Miss Gu."
Having noticed Gu Lvq Qi approaching, Yue Qingchen disdainfully looked her up and down, scoffing lightly as she feigned intimacy by leaning on Mu Tongzi's shoulder. "Director Gu is injured yet still comes to Beijing. Is there something urgent?"
Women often have a keen sixth sense, and sensing Yue Qingchen's hostility towards Green Qi, Yin Xiyin quickly interjected before Green Qi could respond: "It's my birthday today, and Qiqi came to attend my birthday party. What's wrong with that? Beijing isn't your home; why are you meddling?"
She had already found Yue Qingchen unpleasant at the airport, and it seemed this woman simply did not sit well with her.
"Miss Yin, is it? What do you mean by that? Did I say anything? Don't think you can be confrontational just because you have Kang Shao backing you!" Seeing her holding hands with Kang Yiming, she could guess Yin Xiyin's identity.
Yin Xiyin shot her a fearless glare and was about to retort when Kang Yiming pulled her aside, lightly huffing as he looked at Yue Qingchen. "Xi Yin isn't targeting you; she's just stating facts. So what if I'm protecting her?"
Green Qi glanced at the two and leaned closer to Yin Xiyin's ear to quietly remind her, "Xi Yin, she's my superior. Don't make it difficult for me."
Yin Xiyin scoffed lightly. Even if she genuinely disliked Yue Qingchen, she still wanted to give her best friend face. Reluctantly, she signaled Kang Yiming with her eyes to stop escalating the situation.
Yue Qingchen also didn't want to lose face in front of Mu Tongzi by causing a scene. Moreover, with Kang Yiming protecting her, she dared not say much more. All her pent-up anger shifted onto Gu Lvq Qi, her beautiful face twisting in suppressed rage.
Mu Tongzi glanced at them and clearly did not wish to get involved in their conflict. However, seeing the injured woman, she ultimately couldn't bear it and spoke in a deep voice, "Miss Yin, can you ride a horse?"

"Sure, no problem!" Turning around, Yin Xiyin proudly glanced at Yue Qingchen. Her simple and childish action was not annoying; on the contrary, it made her seem very genuine.
"Since it's a competition, there should be stakes." Receiving the challenge in return, Yue Qingchen raised her chin defiantly. In her view, Yin Xiyin was just an inconsequential woman; if it weren't for Mu Tongzi speaking up, she wouldn't even bother looking at her much less compete.
"What shall we bet?" Seizing the opportunity to deal with this arrogant woman, Yin Xiyin certainly wouldn't let it slip away.
"Whoever loses has to walk around when we meet in the future!" Yue Qingchen raised an eyebrow at her and unceremoniously proposed a tricky condition. She originally wanted to drive her out of this circle, but who could blame her when Kang Yiming was protecting her?
She turned to Mu Tongzi beside her to seek his opinion. "Tong, what do you think? Miss Yin and I don't get along, so it's best if we avoid each other to prevent conflict!"
"I have no objections; you should ask Kang Shao." As he said this, he glanced lightly at the smiling Kang Yiming. "What do you think?"
"If my Xi Yin has no objections, then I certainly have none."
"Alright, you all go prepare. I'm a bit tired, so I'll wait for you in the lounge next to the observation platform with this half-disabled person. Let me know when the winner is decided." With that, he cast a faint glance at Green Qi and turned to walk toward the lounge.
The young masters resting under the umbrella seemed to know there would be a good show, and they all got up to head toward the observation platform, leaving only the uninterested Qi Wenran lazily following them to the lounge.
As they were about to leave the competition area, Yue Qingchen shot a fierce glare at Gu Lvq Qi, filled with warning and threat.
Green Qi blinked innocently, seemingly not taking her threat seriously, silently watching them leave the competition area.
Seeing her approach, Qi Wenran took off his sunglasses and looked around, unwilling to be a third wheel. He slowly moved to a corner where his view was blocked. To prove that he wouldn't hear anything he shouldn't, he turned to Mu Tongzi and gestured with the headphones in his hand.
Mu Tongzi couldn't be bothered with his actions; she picked up a bottle of water that hadn't been touched and opened it before handing it to the woman sitting next to her.
Qi Wenran lowered his head and quietly checked emails on his iPad. After a few minutes, he couldn't help but peek at the two sitting quietly. From his angle, he could just see Mu Tongzi's slightly reproachful expression and the innocent look on the woman's face beside her.
"It's so hot; drink some water!" Seeing her not moving, the man beside her grew impatient and pushed the opened water bottle in front of her, commanding rudely, "Don't make me repeat myself."
Green Qi turned to look at him with a mix of curiosity and innocence. "Drinking water is just drinking water; what's with your tone?"
After a pause, she seemed to think of something and looked at him with curiosity. "You’re not angry because I didn’t tell you I was coming to Beijing in advance, are you?"
"What if I say I am?" The sulking man huffed lightly, turning his head away to hide his emotions.
Actually, when he saw her just now, he was momentarily stunned, followed by an uncontrollable sense of joy and happiness. No matter the reason she appeared here, it undoubtedly made him feel delighted.
However, just thinking about how she came all this way with an injury to celebrate Yin Xiyin's birthday made him very angry.
"I can't help it if you're angry. It was sudden; I thought with Beijing City being so big, I wouldn't run into you, so I didn't tell you. Besides, President, you have a beautiful woman in your arms. If I suddenly came to find you, it would be awkward for more than just me! I did this for your sake, so don't be mad!"
She waved her hand dismissively, looking as if she was doing it for his own good, which immediately darkened someone's expression.
His dark eyes deepened, and his handsome brows furrowed as Mu Tongzi couldn't help but scold, "You think you have a point?"
She was the first to speak to him in such an arrogant tone!
"What else?" Turning her head, she looked straight at him, her clear and bright Eyes shimmering with a hint of light, as if hiding something.
After a moment of silence, he sighed lightly, slowly taking off his sunglasses and looking at her with a helpless and pained expression. "Fine, I can't argue with you. Drink some water!"
"..." Her unreasonable arguments were infuriating; she understood that.
Leaning against the bar in the corner, Qi Wenran watched the man who had been defeated in front of the woman with a look of surprise and disbelief.
It turned out there really was such a woman who could make this usually decisive man lower his guard and walk calmly and peacefully through her world.
