"Wu Xin" exclaimed, "You... you are cold-hearted, heartless, and unreasonable! You can't possibly be my real brother. How could someone as kind as me have a brother like you..."
"I think you're just not interested in next month's allowance," he retorted.
It felt as if fate had gripped "Wu Xin" by the throat, leaving him only the option to express his grievances through his eyes. However, in his brother's view, it had no impact whatsoever.
"Rao Jie" didn't want the siblings to argue over her. After all, "Wu Rong" hadn't done anything wrong; she was an uninvited guest. If no one was around, it would be fine, but with people present, it would be awkward for her to stay.
Just as she was about to speak, she noticed "Wu Xin's" eyes suddenly light up, and his demeanor shifted dramatically.
"Fine! If you insist on being stubborn, I'll call Mom and Dad right now and tell them... that you're in Shencheng..." "Wu Xin" grinned cunningly, like a fox that had just pulled off a clever trick.
Rao Jie was puzzled about what to tell their parents when she saw "Wu Rong" genuinely looking furious.
"Wu Xin" added, "If you cut off my allowance, I'll just ask Mom and Dad for it. When they ask why, I'll just..."
"Enough! Wu Xin, I see you've grown quite bold!"
"Wu Xin" smirked proudly. "So, what's your answer? Just one word!"

The rain outside finally stopped, and "Rao Jie" lay back on her bed, feeling temporarily at ease while video chatting with "Wu Xin."
She poured out many thoughts and feelings, perhaps due to the shock she had just experienced; her sadness seemed less overwhelming now.
However, after hearing everything, "Wu Xin" was clearly furious.
"Your parents are... so selfish! How can they treat you like this? Are they even your biological parents? My goodness, how is this still happening in this day and age?"
Rao Jie forced a bitter smile. "Such things can happen in any era. It's just that your family is wonderful and cares for you all so much that you've never encountered this before."
"Wu Xin" bit his lip and said, "Forget it. It's better not to go back to such a family. You're already an adult; being independent isn't a bad thing. My brother didn't live at home during high school either; it's quite normal. The unfortunate part is that you can't apply for dormitory living now."

"What! Bao Ming cheated! He... with whom? Damn it, can't he just be a decent person? Why does he have to act like an animal? Is he unhappy with the food at home, or does he think the pig slop outside is better? Scumbag, jerk..." Wu Xin cursed fiercely without taking a breath, "I'm furious.
