As soon as Chen Yue screamed, the girl's face turned unhappy as she pouted, revealing her sharp teeth. She pulled out a red cloth from somewhere, crumpled it up, and stuffed it into Chen Yue's mouth.
"Help—!" Chen Yue's mouth was blocked, and he could only make muffled sounds. For some reason, he found himself unable to move here.
Chen Yue's body was stiff, and the girl urged him to hurry up. If he could move at all, he wouldn't just let an unknown object be stuffed into his mouth.
"You're so noisy. You can't shout here; you'll wake them all up~" The girl's voice was playful.
Who would wake whom up!?
Chen Yue had many questions in his mind.
The little girl continued speaking: "What a handsome young man you are~"
With something stuffed in his mouth and saliva building up, Chen Yue was about to drool, making muffled sounds of protest.
The girl shook her head and said, "How pitiful, a human chosen from birth. All these years, you must have suffered a lot being so weak."
"But don't be afraid; everything will come to an end. You will become the creator god of the new world, and everything will bow to you. You are the only god~"
"The blood rain has fallen upon the earth. As the Evil Son, it's time for you to emerge and let those self-righteous humans perish."
"Those who escape their destined existence will ultimately be erased; no one can escape!"
"Do you agree? I will grant you a power that only you can possess. You harbor all of humanity's inherent flaws: pride, envy, wrath, sloth, greed, gluttony."
"I will slowly develop all your original sins, allowing you to control this world. Are you moved? Hmm?"
I don’t want it! I don’t want it! Chen Yue roared in his heart but couldn’t say anything with his mouth blocked.
"If you don't speak, I'll take it as your agreement."
"Jealousy—I can feel it. The jealousy raging within you. What are you jealous of? Tell me."
Chen Yue wanted to respond: You're full of crap; I'm not jealous!
But the little girl acted as if she didn’t hear him and continued talking to herself: "I know you don’t want to say it; you're jealous of everyone who is happier and more joyful than you. Don't be afraid; they will all die soon. When you're the only one left in this world, you won't feel jealous anymore."
The little girl gently stroked Chen Yue's head and spoke slowly, her voice like celestial music: "In the beginning of chaos, heaven grants original sin. Jealousy fills your being; I bestow upon you the power of jealousy: in a state of jealousy, your strength, speed, and senses will multiply several times over. The jealousy of others can also be used by you; in the magnetic field of jealousy, you are the sole king."
Her voice was gentle but occasionally punctuated by strange giggles as she bounced around on the ground. Sometimes she would move far away from Chen Yue and then suddenly get close to his face again. Chen Yue had grown accustomed to her erratic behavior and simply closed his eyes.
"When you come back next time, I will grant you another original sin." She then lowered her head in thought before smiling and saying, "It's all your fault for being so noisy; I almost forgot."
Chen Yue, unable to say anything at all, was already exhausted.

A dagger appeared out of nowhere in the little girl's hand.
"This is for you, a gift for acquiring the sin of jealousy. Take your jealousy and destroy this world," the little girl said casually, but her eyes were filled with madness.
She slapped Chen Yue, and he felt as if his soul had shed its shell; his body felt light, but his head heavy, and then he opened his eyes.
He wiggled his fingers; he could finally move. Chen Yue caught a whiff of that familiar men's cologne. It was indeed a dream; Chen Yue woke up.
Sitting up, Chen Yue patted his chest in fear and glanced around, spotting a silver-glinting dagger by his pillow.
Chen Yue's expression turned serious, but he was shocked: it wasn't a dream?!
He picked up the dagger and examined it closely; it looked just like the one in his dream. He hadn't seen it clearly in the dream, but it was roughly the same.
The dagger was silver and gleaming, with a single character engraved at the base of the handle: Jealousy.
The craftsmanship was exquisite, with a peony flower carved in the center and a dragon coiling around it.

Jealousy, Chen Yue pondered over these two characters for a moment before softly saying, "The emperor is heartless, while the consorts have feelings; jealousy arises in the harem, quite fitting."
Chen Yue stuffed the dagger into his pocket, climbed down from the bed, and touched the clothes he had hung to dry on the bedpost last night; they were already dry, so he pulled them down and put them on.
When Chen Yue pushed open the door to leave, he saw that some of the people from last night were slumped over the table while others were sprawled on their chairs.
Had they discussed all night?!
Chen Yue walked over to Old Lu, who was slumped in a chair, hesitating whether to wake him up when he felt someone poke him from behind.
It was Li Caishu.
"Xiao Chen, what's wrong?" Li Caishu whispered, afraid of waking those who had worked hard all night.
Chen Yue lowered his voice as well and said, "I want to go out to buy toothpaste and a toothbrush; there are no new ones in the room."
"Go ahead; just be careful on your way," Li Caishu said with a slight smile, patting Chen Yue's shoulder.
Li Caishu had stayed up late discussing with them last night but had fallen asleep because he didn't understand anything and felt disconnected from the conversation.
Chen Yue nodded in response and stepped out.
Li Caishu watched him leave and softly said, "He's gone."
At this moment, everyone looked up, and Captain Wang asked, "Is the bug installed?"
"It is," Li Caishu nodded, then hesitantly asked, "But... is this really okay?"
"After all, he is a suspect, and it concerns world safety. It's better to be cautious," Old Lu understood what Li Caishu was thinking.
In Li Caishu's mind, Chen Yue was just an ordinary child. She had never understood the special circumstances before, so it was normal for her to find it hard to accept.
"He hasn't discovered it, has he? He should trust you the most among all of us," Captain Wang asked.
"No, he didn't show any other expression. I placed it lightly on the inside of his clothing hem; he shouldn't discover it within a few days," Li Caishu sighed and stared blankly at the doorway, speaking softly.
Walking down the street, Chen Yue's eyes darkened as he fiddled with his fingers and let out an ambiguous laugh.
Chen Yue had acquired the sin of jealousy that was constantly present and uncontrollable, leading to wild thoughts.
But he had become accustomed to pretending; no matter how crazy it got, he would only suppress it inside. However, suppressed jealousy was the most terrifying—it would rise like water and eventually overturn everything.
Just like what that little girl said, his senses had enhanced. He heard everything being said in the room clearly; in fact, he had felt when Li Caishu stuck the bug under his clothing hem.
However, Chen Yue said nothing. He had no intention of saying anything or moving that bug.
After all, they were now suspicious of him; only by living under their surveillance could they feel at ease.
Chen Yue wasn't sure how strong he was now and naturally didn't dare to act recklessly. The enhanced strength, speed, and senses felt useless—did it just make him feel pain more acutely when hit? Could his speed surpass a bullet? Could his strength crush a missile with bare hands?

Eventually, Chen Yue arrived at a small supermarket intending to buy his toothbrush.
