He saw a group of strangers rushing in. They were all dressed in black, wearing wide-brimmed hats, and holding short swords.
Zou Tianyi was stunned. Before he could react, a large man approached and slapped him twice.
Covering his face, Zou Tianyi shouted, "Who... who are you? How dare you hit me?"
The large man coldly replied, "I am Wang Ningyuan, from the Shadow Garb Bureau. You are suspected of colluding with rebels and conspiring against the state. My superior wants to take you away."
Zou Tianyi was completely bewildered. "What did you say? You are from the Shadow Garb Bureau?"
Wang Ningyuan raised his hand again and slapped Zou Tianyi twice more. "Are you deaf? I said you are from the Shadow Garb Bureau! My superior wants to take you away!"
At that moment, several thugs rushed over, shouting, "Who are you? How dare you cause trouble here? Do you know where this place is?"
Wang Ningyuan glanced at them. "Are you the leader?"
Azure Eye A-Biao nodded, "That's right, this is our territory. If you dare to cause trouble here, let me tell you..."
Before he could finish, Wang Ningyuan quickly drew his sword and thrust it forward sharply. There was a "thud" sound as the short sword pierced through his instep.
He let out a scream and fell to the ground.
Wang Ningyuan glanced at the few thugs and said coldly, "Who else?"
The thugs were all stunned, standing there like wooden statues.
Wang Ningyuan waved his hand and instructed his subordinates, "Take both of these people away, leave no one else."
With the command given, the men in black rushed forward, raising their short swords to slash at the gamblers and thugs.
In an instant, the hall erupted into chaos, with all the gamblers and thugs crying out for help and fleeing in panic.
A few bold gamblers and thugs attempted to resist; however, their defiance only resulted in a more brutal slaughter.
Within a short time, there was no one left standing in the hall, and the ground was covered with bodies and blood.
Wang Ningyuan glanced at the corpses on the ground and snorted, "A bunch of ignorant fools."
After saying that, Wang Ningyuan waved his hand and led his subordinates out.
The gamblers and thugs were all stunned; they had never seen such a fierce and cold-blooded person before.
Wang Ningyuan took Zou Tianyi out of the casino and approached the two carriages parked at the intersection.
He shoved both of them into one of the carriages, then drove towards the main road on the North Side of Nanjiang.
Inside the carriage, Zou Tianyi was trembling uncontrollably.
What had just happened had completely terrified him; he never expected to be subjected to such a brutal attack in his own home.
Zou Tianyi was secretly speculating about the background of those who had attacked them.
After a while, the carriage came to a stop.
Wang Ningyuan jumped out, opened the carriage door, and yanked Zou Tianyi down.
When Zou Tianyi looked up, he found himself in front of a large warehouse, with five big characters written on the door: Dahua Rice Warehouse.
