I practiced all night, and by nine in the morning, I was ready to go to work.
Just as I reached the entrance of the Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic, two police cars screeched in with blaring sirens, surrounding me.
"Lin Yang, you assaulted someone, causing their death. As a relative of the victim, I am officially reporting you to the police and bringing you to justice!"
Lin Zhenhai stepped out of the police car with a sinister look on his face.
"Someone died?" I frowned slightly.
Yesterday, Lin Zhenhai had brought people to cause trouble at the clinic, and I had broken one of his bones; his son, Shi Qiang, also had his arm broken by me.
I didn't expect Lin Zhenhai to be so vicious as to frame me by calling the police.
"Shi Qiang is dead because of you, you murderer!"
Lin Zhenhai shouted angrily.
I shook my head. "He’s not dead!"
"Whether he’s dead or not is not for you to decide. Come with us!"
The police took out handcuffs and cuffed me before pushing me into the police car.
"Lin Yang, I’m Wan Dahai. Do you remember me?"
A young policeman in the passenger seat turned around and smiled faintly.
"You’re Grandpa Wan’s grandson?"
I raised an eyebrow.
Wan Dahai's grandfather is the chairman of Victory Group. I had treated the old man before and remembered him well.
"You know me?"
Wan Dahai looked surprised.
"Do you know him?" I nodded.
"That's good!" Wan Dahai's expression darkened as he said, "Shi Qiang is dead. Lin Zhenhai reported to the police that you killed his son. This is a serious matter!"
"Even though we know each other, as the captain of the criminal police, I must enforce the law impartially and will not show favoritism!"
Wan Dahai sighed.
"Enforce the law impartially?" A smirk appeared on my lips as I said, "Captain Wan, what if I told you I could bring Shi Qiang back to life?"
"Bring him back to life?" Wan Dahai's face stiffened as he scolded, "Do you think you're a god? Once a person is dead, they cannot come back. Stop talking nonsense!"
"I really can bring him back!" I spoke with certainty.
"Fine!" Wan Dahai waved his hand impatiently and said, "Then let's first treat the deceased!"
The police car arrived at the county hospital, and I was surrounded by officers and taken to the intensive care unit.
At this moment, Shi Qiang lay on the hospital bed; the hospital had already issued a death certificate, and the doctor was preparing to send him to the morgue.
"Lin Yang, are you confident you can save him?" Wan Dahai asked.
"I am!" I nodded.
"How confident are you?" Wan Dahai pressed further.
"One hundred percent!" I replied firmly.
"One hundred percent?"
Wan Dahai scoffed and said, "Alright then, go ahead and treat him!"
"Lin Yang, if you can't save him, your life will be over!" Lin Zhenhai said gleefully from the side.
I ignored him and pressed my hands against Shi Qiang's chest, beginning the "treatment."
My technique looked strange and seemed almost comical.
The surrounding police officers scoffed, and some even laughed out loud.
"Is this a doctor? It looks more like a massage!"
"I think this kid is just putting on a show. The person is already dead; how could he possibly bring him back?"
"Just a bunch of hocus pocus!"
The officers whispered among themselves.
Dean Gao was also present, shaking his head in disappointment, thinking I was just trying to attract attention.
But at that moment, something miraculous happened.
Shi Qiang's heart actually started beating again, and other organs began to regain function.
"He’s alive! He really brought the dead back to life!"
This scene left everyone in shock; they were witnessing a medical miracle firsthand.
