I smiled slightly. "You are too kind."
I looked around but didn't see Manager Gu Nian.

They pointed in the direction of the office. "Inside."
I nodded and walked straight in.

"What are you doing here?"
I smiled slightly. "Manager Gu Nian, shouldn't you apologize to me?"
Her expression changed. "What nonsense are you talking about?"

She gritted her teeth. "They just verbally agreed; the contract hasn't been signed yet."
"Let's talk after the contract is signed."
I nodded. "Alright, then I'll wait."
I turned and walked out.
After all, the client has already agreed, so the contract should be signed soon.

Soon, the contract was signed.
I took the contract and went directly to find Manager Gu Nian.
"Manager Gu Nian, can I make my request now?"
She looked at me coldly and said, "Don't get too smug."

Her expression changed: "I don't understand what you're talking about."
"What, are you trying to back out?"
She gritted her teeth: "I never agreed to anything with you."
I laughed heartily: "I knew you would deny it. Luckily, I have proof."
I took out my phone and played the recording.
"I'll give you sole responsibility for this project."
"If I fail, I will leave the company immediately."
"Alright, it's settled!"
After listening to the recording, Gu Nian's expression grew increasingly grim.
"You... you are shameless."
I snorted coldly, "Who is shameless is clear to everyone."
"Well, are you willing to apologize now?"
She stared at me fiercely, not saying a word.
I nodded, "Fine, since that's the case, I'll make this recording public."
"Then let's see how you explain it to everyone."
After weighing the pros and cons, she finally relented.
"Wait a minute."
I stopped and looked at her.
"I apologize."
"But it can only be a private apology, not a public one."
I frowned, "Why?"
She took a deep breath, "A public apology would have too great an impact on me; I can't accept that."
"You made me take full responsibility for the project without consulting me; that was your mistake."
"Why should I take the blame for you?"
"If you don't publicly apologize, I'll release the recording," I threatened.
She clenched her teeth tightly and squeezed out three words through them: "I apologize."
I smiled slightly. "That's more like it."
"I'll give you two days; you must publicly apologize."
Two days later, Manager Gu Nian stood in front of everyone, looking grim as she said, "Recently, I privately assigned a project to Song Juan for her to handle alone. This was wrong of me, and I apologize to Song Juan."
Although she was saying an apology, her tone was stiff and showed no sign of remorse.
I looked at her coldly. "Is this your apology?"
"If you've made a mistake, you have to admit it; if you're going to take a hit, stand straight."
"What kind of attitude is that?"
