"You did change his behavior pattern, but whether that change is legal is still debatable."
After hearing Old Zhang's analysis, both Zhou Jie and I felt shocked and fearful. We hadn't anticipated that our actions could lead to serious consequences.
"Lin Yu, what should we do?"
Zhou Jie looked at me helplessly and asked.
I took a deep breath and said firmly, "No matter what, we must make one last attempt."
"Even if it means we might fail or face legal repercussions?"
Zhou Jie asked hesitantly.
"Yes."
I nodded without hesitation.
Zhou Jie was silent for a moment before looking up with determination in her eyes and saying, "Alright, I agree."
"Lin Yu, regardless of the outcome, we will face it together."
With the decision made, the team began preparing for action. Li Ming was responsible for gathering supplies, including food and emergency equipment. Old Zhang handled communication with higher authorities to ensure our actions would be approved. Zhou Jie and I focused on addressing the scumbag's psychological issues, readying ourselves for the challenges ahead. Time was of the essence; we had to act quickly. Everyone was on edge, not daring to let their guard down for a moment.
The unity and trust among the team are our important guarantees, but we are well aware that once a rift appears, the consequences could be unimaginable.
"Li Ming, how is the preparation of the supplies going?"
Old Zhang's serious voice rang in my ears.
"It's almost ready," Li Ming replied, wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"Make sure there are no mistakes."
Old Zhang urged.
"I understand."
Li Ming's voice was particularly firm.
Although Zhou Jie and I were not on-site, we could still sense their tension and focus through the earpiece.
Our mood was also heavy; this was our last attempt, and we had to succeed.
"Zhou Jie, how are you feeling?"
I asked softly.
"I'm fine, just a bit nervous."
Zhou Jie's voice trembled slightly.
"So am I," I comforted softly. "But we must hold on."

Zhou Jie's voice gradually steadied.
Just then, Li Ming and Xiao Jie suddenly got into an argument.
"You don't understand anything; stop giving orders here!"
Li Ming shouted angrily.
"You don't get it!"
Little Jie was not willing to back down either and retorted loudly, "Your equipment is completely useless!"
"Stop arguing!" Zhou Jie shouted, trying to calm the anger of both.
I hurried over to Li Ming and Little Jie, separating them.
"What are you two doing?" I looked at them and said angrily, "What time is it? How can you still think about arguing?"
Li Ming and Little Jie both lowered their heads and fell silent.
"Our goal is to reform the scumbag, not to fight among ourselves!" I said earnestly, "We can only accomplish this task if we unite as one."
"Lin Yu is right," Old Zhang's voice chimed in at the right moment. "Everyone calm down and continue with the task."
Li Ming and Little Jie nodded silently, no longer arguing, and returned to their work.
The scumbag began to try changing his lifestyle.
He actively participated in community-organized charity events. Although his actions drew curiosity and surprise from those around him, he persisted in taking part.
Xiaoya, as a volunteer, participated in the same charity event. She worked alongside the scumbag; although she did not deliberately approach him, she quietly paid attention to his changes in her own way.
