Azure Cloud Peak The vast square, covering tens of thousands of square meters, is currently filled with six hundred Registered Disciples. This is the first time they have gathered here so completely since their arrival. 0

They looked at each other, some familiar and some unfamiliar, but they would be living together for a long time. Therefore, they needed to get to know each other a bit, exchanging glances with those in front, behind, and beside them. 0

“Cough…” Suddenly, a light cough clearly reached everyone's ears. The hundreds of people below turned their gaze to the stage, where a cold-looking man in a black long robe had appeared. 0

“Let me introduce myself. I am Zhu Gui, and I will be your Instructor at Azure Cloud Peak. I am responsible for teaching you martial arts and techniques, as well as helping you solve any difficulties you encounter during your cultivation.” 0

Upon hearing this, the young disciples below perked up; they could finally begin their cultivation, something they had longed for. Ren Pingsheng also brightened up at the thought of starting his training. 0

He was somewhat surprised that Zhu Gui was taking on the role of Instructor. He had often wondered how his father, who was a teacher, knew him, but unfortunately, he never got an answer. However, having an acquaintance as an instructor would be better; if any issues arose, it should be easier to address them. 0

“Alright, enough small talk. As newly admitted Registered Disciples, most of you probably have not been exposed to cultivation techniques before. Of course, even if you have practiced before, it doesn't matter; these basic techniques are not exclusive. What you will learn next is our sect's fundamental technique: the Canglan Heart Method, which serves as the foundation of our sect. I won't say it's the best out there, but at least among sixth-grade sects, it ranks among the top foundational techniques.” 0

“Today, I will teach you the first three levels of the heart method. This will only be taught once, so pay close attention. If you have any questions or don't understand anything, feel free to ask.” After saying this, Zhu Gui explained the incantations for the first three layers of the Canglan Heart Method, the flow of Spiritual Energy in the Meridian, and various important points in detail. 0

He clarified all the doubts from the six hundred young disciples until everyone confirmed that they understood the techniques before concluding this first lecture. Before leaving, he also shared some good news that excited those who had just calmed down. 0

The sect's higher-ups decided that besides practicing basic Sword Technique, Registered Disciples could also learn the Flying Spirit Sword Technique. This was something only Outer Sect Disciples could practice. 0

Although it was merely a low-level Yellow Rank inferior Sword Technique, it still brought joy to these young disciples for a while. Now that they had both cultivation methods and sword techniques available, all that remained was to make great strides forward. 0

Seeing that it was still early in the day, Ren Pingsheng eagerly invited his friend Chu Xiao to explore the sect and hurried back to his room to close the door. 0

Sitting in the front hall, he calmed his somewhat excited emotions. He could finally start cultivating; after all, that's why he came here. Now he could take the first step toward one day soaring into the sky. 0

Without thinking too much, Ren Pingsheng sat cross-legged, placing his hands on his knees with palms facing up, calming his mind and focusing his energy. He began to comprehend the Canglan Heart Method that the Instructor had explained not long ago. The first layer of the heart method's mantra and operation route gradually became clear, and he understood many complex and profound aspects one by one. 0

Confirming that there were no omissions, Ren Pingsheng started to operate the Canglan Heart Method, attempting to draw in Spiritual Energy. 0

Before long, he sensed some strange fluctuations in the air, difficult to discern with the naked eye, but purely intuitive. Slowly drawing closer to him, suddenly, strands of something permeated through his skin, bringing a refreshing and comfortable sensation that made Ren Pingsheng shudder. 0

"This must be Spiritual Energy. It can strengthen the body and prevent diseases. It allows one to fly through the sky and traverse the earth. There are even rumors from ancient times that some people achieved immortality by consuming air; it truly is a miraculous thing!" With these distracting thoughts arising, Ren Pingsheng abruptly awakened from his meditative state. 0

He slowly exhaled a breath of turbid air, opened his eyes, and emerged from his cultivation state, though his expression was filled with excitement. He did not expect to sense Spiritual Energy so quickly and successfully draw it into his body. It was almost unimaginable! 0

Not long ago, the Instructor had clearly stated that the first step in cultivation was to draw energy into the body, which still posed considerable difficulty. Generally, it took about a week for most people to sense it and successfully draw it in; some even took ten days to half a month. As for exceptionally gifted disciples, it varied—at least one day and at most three days. 0

While Ren Pingsheng was thrilled about being able to draw energy into his body so quickly, he also felt a bit worried. He didn't know if this was normal or if there would be any issues. However, he could only keep this concern to himself and wait until next week when the Instructor came to ask. 0

At this moment, he felt the absence of teachers or elders around him. Back when he was studying, whenever he had questions, his Father would be there to guide him; now faced with confusion, he could only stare blankly. 0

"Ah! I'm so foolish. Isn't there a Library? The answers should all be in the books. How could I forget such an important thing? My Father reminded me before about the importance of knowledge." Ren Pingsheng suddenly slapped his thigh and stood up in frustration. 0

"Perfect! Today I'm a Registered Disciple; I can go to the Library to collect the Flying Spirit Sword Technique. I'll head over now and check out what’s going on in the Library." 0

Determined, Ren Pingsheng headed straight for the Library. Speaking of which, the Library was located on Azure Peak, which was the tallest mountain rising over a thousand feet in height at the center. The five peaks where Registered Disciples resided were merely branches of the main peak—some higher and some lower. Only by becoming an Outer Sect Disciple could one enter the main peak. 0

Normally, Registered Disciples were not allowed to go to Azure Peak; however, this day was an exception. Thus, many Registered Disciples were eager to broaden their horizons and see the scenery of the main peak. 0

After about an incense stick's worth of time, Ren Pingsheng arrived at the entrance of the Library. There were many people dressed in gray robes—Registered Disciples who were keen on learning a Yellow Rank low-grade Sword Technique—all rushing to collect their Sword Technique Manual. 0

Although it cannot be ruled out that there are families with backgrounds that do not lack such secret manuals, and even martial arts techniques, it is hard to believe that anyone would be foolish enough to refuse something offered for free. 0

"Brother, you came over too. I saw you hurriedly return to your room and thought you went to cultivate," Chu Xiao unexpectedly appeared from a corner, looking somewhat surprised. 0

"Uh... I heard that today is the only day to receive the Flying Spirit Sword Technique, so I came over. Why is everyone outside? Aren't you going in?" Ren Pingsheng asked with some confusion, pointing at the Library. 0

"We, the Registered Disciples, currently do not have the right to enter and exit the Library. You need to be at least an Outer Sect Disciple to come and go," Chu Xiao replied with some dissatisfaction. It was clear he was eager to enter the grand and ancient Five-Story Sword Tower. 0

"If we can't go in, then what's the point of being here? How do we receive the Flying Spirit Sword Technique?" 0

"Can't you see over there? You can receive it at that table," Chu Xiao said, nodding towards a table not far from the Library where many people were gathered. 0

"Oh, I see. Then I'm going to get the Flying Spirit Sword Technique now. We'll talk later," Ren Pingsheng thought helplessly; he hadn't expected this outcome. However, he was still somewhat reluctant and decided to ask the old man sitting at the table. 0

The result was quite disappointing. After receiving the Sword Technique, the old man informed him that Registered Disciples could not enter the Library. 0

"It seems this issue won't be resolved anytime soon. But I can't waste time like this; the next class isn't for another seven days. I might as well continue cultivating since I don't feel any discomfort right now." 0

Having figured out the situation, Ren Pingsheng filled his stomach and returned to continue his cultivation, feeling highly motivated. 0

Once again experiencing that familiar feeling of coolness and comfort, Ren Pingsheng focused his mind this time and followed the Canglan Heart Method's operational route, gradually guiding Spiritual Energy through his body's Meridian before finally returning it to his Dantian. 0

What Ren Pingsheng needed to do was absorb Spiritual Energy from the outside world and store it in his Dantian to allow it to gradually grow stronger. Although each time he absorbed a significant amount of Spiritual Energy, after circulating it within his body once, less than a third remained, by the end of the day, the total amount of absorbed Spiritual Energy was still considerable. 0

Once the Spiritual Energy in his Dantian grew stronger, he would begin attempting to guide it to impact his body's Meridian, aiming to strengthen his muscles and bones, refine his organs, and enhance his physical body. In simple terms, a strong body is fundamental; only with a powerful physique can one have abundant vitality and store more Spiritual Energy. 0

As the saying goes: "Train the muscles and bones externally, and cultivate the breath internally," which conveys this principle. 0

Introducing Spiritual Energy into the body and allowing it to circulate continuously within the Meridians is meant to strengthen the Meridians, bones, and organs. Externally, one can also train muscle strength, though the effects are somewhat lesser. Therefore, some people adopt a dual approach of internal and external cultivation, supplemented by Body Refinement Technique. 0

Regarding the impact on the Meridians, every person has twelve Meridians within their body, which are the main channels for the flow of Qi and blood. Through these channels, Qi and blood can reach the internal organs and surface of the body, nourishing the entire system. Although the twelve Meridians are naturally open, they are not always unobstructed; they can be likened to blocked rivers where only weak streams can pass through. 0

What a Cultivator needs to do is guide Spiritual Energy to circulate continuously within the Meridians, reinforcing and nurturing them. Gradually, they will unblock these Meridians, allowing them to truly become unobstructed. 0

When the Meridians are clear, Qi and blood become strong; when Qi and blood are strong, strength arises naturally, preventing illness and warding off evil. Ultimately, moving mountains and filling seas with a mere gesture becomes effortless. 0

However, currently, the Spiritual Energy within the Dantian is still quite weak. When attempting to impact the first Meridian, there were no significant results. Ren Pingsheng chose the first Meridian as the Hand Shaoyin Meridian; there is no particular order in this choice. However, the Canglan Heart Method specifically notes that it is generally easier to choose either the Hand Shaoyin or Hand Taiyin. 0

"There’s too little Spiritual Energy; otherwise, I could attempt to impact a Meridian right now. I've heard that unblocking the first Meridian can increase strength by three hundred pounds out of thin air. Just imagine how much stronger I would be if all twelve Meridians were unblocked! Just thinking about it excites me!" Ren Pingsheng abandoned his plan to continue impacting the Meridian for now. It was not yet time; he would have to wait at least two more days. 0

Although he felt somewhat dissatisfied with this outcome, he quickly came to terms with it. 0

Perhaps many people are still troubled by how to sense Spiritual Energy and how to draw Qi into their bodies. Yet he has not only achieved this but has also begun accumulating Spiritual Energy in his Dantian and is attempting to impact his Meridians. There’s really nothing to complain about! 0

"I just wonder how those top ten ranked individuals on the testing leaderboard are doing. Their talents must be significantly greater; I hope they aren't better than me!" Ren Pingsheng pondered silently. 0

He reminded himself not to be arrogant; there was still a long road ahead. With these thoughts in mind, he gently closed his eyes and continued his cultivation. 0
