As I spoke, my tone grew somewhat heavy.
"The palace maids are slowly aging, and they have left this place,
while the flowers wither away generation after generation, and the garden is gradually becoming desolate."
A hint of sadness crept into my words, and my mood began to darken.
"Later, the Palace became quieter and lonelier.
No one came here to play anymore, and no one chatted here anymore."
After saying this, I let out a gentle sigh.
A Lin listened to me, his eyes sparkling with light.
He stood there quietly, as if deep in thought.
I glanced at him and continued, "So now this Palace seems so quiet and lonely."
Little Alin ran around in the garden for a while before stopping beside a large tree.
This tree was the tallest in the garden,
its towering canopy blocking out the sunlight, making the entire garden appear even more serene and tranquil.
Little Jie looked up at the tree, his eyes shining with excitement.
It seemed he had found a solution to the problem.
"Grandma Mei Mei, I have an idea!" A Lin suddenly turned to me and said.
"I've thought of a way to bring life and laughter back to the Palace!"
A Lin's voice was filled with excitement and enthusiasm.
I looked at A Lin curiously, wondering what method he had come up with.
"I want to turn this big tree into a treehouse!" A Lin said, pointing at the tree.
"I want all the children to play up there,
to laugh and have fun in the tree. That way, the whole garden will be filled with life and laughter again!"
Little Jie decided to host a garden party and invite all the neighbors to the Palace, bringing this ancient place back to life and vibrancy.
Standing in the garden, Little Jie looked up at the tall tree, his eyes sparkling with excitement. It seemed he could already see the former splendor and glory of the Palace. "I will make this place lively again!" Little Jie declared, his voice filled with determination and strength.
So, Little Jie and his friends got busy. They decorated the garden and prepared plenty of delicious food and drinks. They also arranged a series of activities, such as singing, dancing, and storytelling. They hoped these activities would attract neighbors of all ages to join them.
Soon, the day of the party arrived. The Palace was unusually lively that day as neighbors came to participate in the festivities. They admired the decorations in the garden and savored the aroma of the food, gathering in groups to chat. The entire Palace transformed into a sea of joy.
Watching everyone’s happy faces filled Little Jie with satisfaction. He knew this was the first step toward realizing his dream: to rejuvenate this ancient Palace with new life and energy.
Next, Little Jie’s friends began their performances. Their acts captivated everyone present, making them laugh heartily. I also joined in their performance. With my silver hair and a kind smile on my face, I shared stories from the past in a gentle voice.
I told the children many tales about the Palace, and they were enthralled by my stories, listening intently as if under a spell. Our garden party was a tremendous success.
On this day, the Palace became lively once again. All the neighbors gathered here, laughing and chatting, enjoying this wonderful time. Little Jie looked at everyone's smiling faces, and his heart was filled with joy and contentment. These moments will always remain in our hearts, becoming our most precious treasures. These memories will make us stronger and braver, and they will inspire us to yearn for a beautiful future.
