"What do you want to eat tonight?" Lu Nancheng called me.
I was a bit tired from work today, had no appetite, and didn't want to make a choice: "You decide. I'll eat whatever you want."
"How about hot pot?" Lu Nancheng said excitedly. "I know a place called Brain Matter that's really delicious. Don't you love Brain Matter?"
"Lu Nancheng..." I softly called his name.
"Yes?"
"Why are you so good to me? You're clearly accommodating me." I felt a bit embarrassed.
I vaguely remembered that he usually preferred vegetarian food.
We had known each other for three years and had been together for a year. He was always so tolerant of me, which made me feel somewhat guilty.
"Not at all," Lu Nancheng chuckled. "I suddenly really want to eat it too. Back in college, there was a place outside the school that served spicy dishes, and their Brain Matter was very tender and fresh. I wonder if it's still there."
Hearing him say that made me nostalgic for the delicious food from our college days.
After hanging up, Lu Nancheng came to pick me up.
He took me to a Chongqing Hot Pot Restaurant that had been around for many years. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, so the business was always thriving.
The hall on the first floor was packed with people, full of lively atmosphere.
Lu Nancheng, being such a wealthy young man, seemed out of place among the crowd, but I could still see the excitement in his eyes.
I couldn't help but smile and took his hand.
He turned back to look at me and asked with a smile, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to hold your hand."
He ruffled my hair and then took me upstairs.
The second floor was filled with private rooms, the environment was a bit better, but it was still noisy.
Lu Nancheng asked me to order and then took off his coat to lay it over the chair for me to sit on.
He wiped the table again, heated the bowls and chopsticks for me, and poured juice...
Watching his meticulous actions, I couldn't help but exclaim, "Lu Nancheng, you must have been well-trained by your ex-girlfriend."
Lu Nancheng looked up in surprise, a hint of astonishment flashing in his dark eyes. "Ex-girlfriend?"
I was taken aback. "Isn't that so?"
"Of course not." Lu Nancheng sat down beside me, his tone somewhat somber. "I've never been in a relationship."
"Ah?" I widened my eyes in shock.
"Although Nan Nan and I grew up together, I don't like her; I've always seen her as a sister. Those are just rumors spread outside," Lu Nancheng explained to me.
"Then what about before..."
My face turned red, and I couldn't continue.
"Before?" Lu Nancheng raised an eyebrow, suddenly leaning closer, a hint of mischief flashing in his dark eyes. "Are you trying to say that I acted like an experienced veteran before?"
I shyly nodded.
"That was instinct." Lu Nancheng straightened up again and served me some food. "I'm sorry for disappointing you last time; it won't happen again."
I bit my lip and said softly, "There's no need to apologize; I wasn't angry."
After dinner, Lu Nancheng took me back to the hotel.
After washing up, he carried me from the sofa back to the bed. "Baby, we should rest now," he said.
I instinctively tightened my grip on his collar, realizing what he intended to do.
Sure enough, he laid me down on the bed, his tall frame pressing down on me.
His kisses fell softly and densely, stirring my breath and heartbeat.
"Mm..." I let out a soft sound.
He paused for a moment, lifted his head, and his eyes shimmered with a captivating light.
"What's wrong? Are you uncomfortable?"
I shook my head, blushing. "I'm a bit tired."
"Tired?" Lu Nancheng frowned.
I gently replied, "I'm a little sleepy."
"Then I'll be gentler." After saying that, he kissed me again.
