After passing through long corridors and continuous corners, Wei Dong and God Tone finally arrived at an awe-inspiring arena. The arena seemed to carry all the glory and challenges of the world, with a sturdy exterior made of dark stones and mysterious runes. Various legendary heroes and Summoners were depicted on the towering walls around, their eyes shining as if silently scrutinizing every challenger who arrived.
The arena itself was spacious enough to accommodate hundreds of people, with a floor made of a material resembling stone slabs. In the center was a huge magic circle used for various summoning and spell tests. The arena was crowded with people from different regions and races. Some were whispering in corners, while others were engrossed in studying books or practicing spells, each person's face showing strong anticipation and nervousness.
On a distant high platform, there is a magnificent VIP box, and even from the far distance, one can feel the overwhelming majesty emanating from it. The curtains of the box are tightly closed, and it's unknown which important figures are sitting inside.
In the center of the venue, there is a long stone table, behind which sit two formally dressed individuals. One is a middle-aged man with graying hair and a serious expression, while next to him is a young woman, wearing a professional smile but exuding a similar level of professionalism. They are the examiners for the Summoner selection, Chief examiner Randall and the deputy examiner Arya.
"It looks like we've finally come to the right place," Wei Dong said to God Tone in a low voice.
God Tone responded with a meaningful smile, "Yes, but this is just the beginning. The real challenge is still ahead."
When Chief examiner Randall slowly stood up, the atmosphere in the entire examination room instantly became solemn. He raised a hand, and at that moment, all the noise and whispers abruptly ceased, with every examinee watching him, waiting for the next instructions.
Deputy examiner Arya stood up and followed him, slightly nodding to Randall, then walked to the front of the central stone platform. She took a deep breath to ensure her voice could reach every corner.
"The first stage of the exam is about to begin, please prepare yourselves," Arya's voice was steady and clear, devoid of any extra emotion, displaying a kind of professional authority.
Afterwards, Arya took out a sparkling crystal ball from a mysterious bag, emitting a subtle magical atmosphere. This crystal ball was like a miniature universe, shimmering with indescribable light.
She gently placed the crystal ball on the stone platform and drew a magic circle around it to ensure the accuracy and safety of the test.
"We will use this crystal ball to test your magical power," Arya continued, "The crystal ball can accurately sense the subtle energy fluctuations of your magic and convert it into quantifiable values."
"Please come forward in order to take the test. If your magic power is below the standard we have set, you will be eliminated directly and cannot participate in the subsequent selection. Only those who pass this stage of the examination are qualified to enter the next stage of the selection. Please make sure you are fully prepared."
Her voice was calm, but every word felt like a heavy blow to the hearts of the examinees. Her expression became serious, and each of them silently adjusted their state of mind, anticipating the challenges that lay ahead.
Arya paused briefly, scanned the examination room again to ensure everyone understood the rules. Then, she looked at Randall again, as if seeking final confirmation.
Randall nodded slightly, indicating that everything was proceeding according to plan.
"Okay, then, the first candidate, please come forward for the test," Arya said at last.
At this moment, the atmosphere in the examination room became tense again, and all eyes focused on the first candidate about to take the test. The test that would determine the fate of everyone's future had officially begun.
As Arya finished speaking, the atmosphere in the examination room instantly became tense. A huge magic circle appeared below the stone platform, surrounded by mysterious symbols and patterns. One by one, the examinees stepped forward and placed their palms on the shimmering crystal ball.
The first examinee approached with apparent confidence, but as soon as his hand touched the crystal ball, the magic circle immediately turned red and emitted a sharp warning sound. "Unqualified, please step aside," Arya said coldly.
The second and third candidates successively stepped forward, and the situation was not optimistic. The magic array turned red time and time again, and the alert sound kept echoing in the examination room. This made the candidates waiting behind more and more uneasy.
Wei Dong and God Tone stood at the end of the line, and the two exchanged a glance. Wei Dong was tense, while God Tone tried to ease the tense atmosphere with humor, "It seems that the threshold is not low. I hope we can pass."
At this moment, the seventh candidate stepped forward, and the magic array finally lit up with a blue light, causing the entire examination room to tremble. Arya softly said, "Qualified, you are eligible to enter the next stage of selection."
Wei Dong and God Tone carefully observed all of this and noticed that the numbers on the crystal ball were changing rapidly until they stopped at "5678," which turned the magic array blue. "It seems that the magic power value must be at least over five thousand to qualify," Wei Dong whispered to God Tone.
The two began to focus their energy, each recalling the magical knowledge they had learned in this world. They took a deep breath, preparing to face the upcoming challenge.
