"Wei Chen once did a project called 'Moments of Forgetting' at an exhibition where participants had to recall their past within a set time frame and document it. Then he would display these memories in a specific way, allowing people to reevaluate their past."
Li Chen's heart jolted. The concept of this project resonated with his conversation with the mysterious person, seemingly revealing modern people's confusion and evasion regarding memory. "Does he want people to realize their misunderstandings and forgetfulness about time through this?" Li Chen murmured to himself as countless images flashed through his mind.
"Exactly," Xiao Yu nodded. "Wei Chen believes that memory is not a singular linear process but is constantly influenced by external factors. His work makes people aware that true emotions and experiences are often concealed beneath false appearances."
As Li Chen absorbed this information, his doubts grew stronger. He decided to delve deeper into Wei Chen's past. After some effort, they found several reports and interviews revealing that Wei Chen's artistic career had not been smooth sailing. Due to controversy surrounding one of his experiments, he was forced out of the art scene and led a very low-profile life. It seemed that while pursuing art, he was also bearing immense psychological pressure.
"Li Chen, do you think his appearance has any special purpose?" Xiao Yu asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Li Chen pondered for a moment, feeling that Wei Chen's words and actions seemed to hint at something deeper; he might be trying to guide him toward confronting his true feelings within. "I don't know, but I feel like he's not someone who just appears randomly; perhaps he wants me to reevaluate my life and emotions," Li Chen replied in a low but firm voice.
Finally, on a weekend afternoon, Li Chen gathered his courage and decided to find Wang Xue. His heart was filled with anxiety and anticipation; although he knew this path wouldn't be easy, he had to face it. I'm sorry for making you feel lonely." Although Li Chen's voice trembled, it was filled with sincerity.
Wang Xue's gaze gradually softened as she listened quietly; the ice in her heart slowly melted away. Li Chen felt a wave of relief wash over him; he knew that despite an uncertain future ahead, at least for now, they were both making an effort to confront each other's feelings.
