I expressionlessly raised my glass and gently clinked it with Mr. Staff's, as a way of acknowledging Anna. However, Shen Yulin had a different opinion on this matter. To him, I was crucial at that moment, and he would not tolerate anyone bullying me like that. He frowned and seriously said to Mr. Staff, "Staff, I expect Miss Anna to no longer appear before us in the future."
When Anna heard Mr. Staff say such a thing, her body trembled slightly, and disbelief showed on her face as she stared wide-eyed at Shen Yulin. Her lips parted as if she wanted to argue, but Mr. Staff quickly reached out and firmly pressed her down, turning back to glare at her fiercely. There was a hint of warning in Mr. Staff's gaze before he turned back to Shen Yulin with a smile and said, "Don't worry about that; I'll handle it. Now, let's continue drinking."
I didn't pay any more attention to Anna's resentful and venomous expression because my focus was entirely consumed by hunger. My stomach still craved satisfaction, and my gaze involuntarily fell upon the lavish spread of dishes on the table. At that moment, I had only one thought in mind: to fill my stomach as soon as possible.
The conversation between Mr. Staff and Shen Yulin was quite pleasant as they drank one cup after another, and the bottles on the table gradually became empty. As time passed, both of their cheeks flushed, clearly showing signs of intoxication. Mr. Staff was the first to succumb, collapsing onto the table, while Shen Yulin leaned drowsily against me. I tried to push Shen Yulin away, but he tightly grasped my hand and mumbled, "Baby... baby..."
I sighed helplessly, glancing at the unconscious Mr. Staff and then at the drowsy Shen Yulin beside me, feeling a headache coming on.
At that moment, two waiters walked in. Anna pointed at Mr. Staff and said to one of them, "Take this gentleman to room 2803 to rest," then turned to the other waiter and said, "You take this gentleman to room 2809." The two waiters nodded and stepped forward to support the two drunken men. Shen Yulin held onto my sleeve tightly, so I had no choice but to follow him upstairs. Anna's eyes still held resentment but also an odd expression. She bit her lip as if making a significant decision before turning and leaving the private room.
Together with the waiters, I helped Shen Yulin into the room. Looking at this drunken man before me who was completely out of it, I felt somewhat helpless. Clumsily, I unbuttoned his shirt and removed his clothing. Each movement felt particularly laborious due to my pregnancy. After finally managing to push him into the bathroom for a shower, I was exhausted and panting heavily. Just as I was about to catch my breath and call my aunt, there came a crisp knock on the door from outside.
I hesitantly walked to the door and opened it to find a waiter standing there with a smile saying, "Hello. We found some personal items belonging to you that you left behind at the dining area; could you please come downstairs with me to claim them?"
Hearing this made me frown as I tried hard to recall what I might have left behind. Indeed, when I hurriedly helped Shen Yulin upstairs earlier, I hadn't paid any attention to whether anything was left behind in the private room. With that thought in mind, I nodded and decided to follow the waiter downstairs to check it out.
