"Wife, you look so beautiful today!" Shen Yulin said softly, his voice carrying a hint of hoarseness and intimacy. His lips brushed lightly against my ear, sending a wave of warmth that made me shiver involuntarily.
I tilted my head slightly, playfully pushing him away with a hint of dissatisfaction in my tone, "Why are you getting so close? You should drink less."
"I just want to take a good look at you, my wife." Shen Yulin's eyes sparkled as he gazed at me intently, his thick eyelashes resembling crow feathers, and his prominent Adam's apple looked particularly alluring at that moment. The once noisy environment seemed to fall silent; all I could see was this captivating man.
"Mr. Shen, come dance!" Cheng Haifeng exclaimed excitedly as he rushed over, grabbing us and forcefully pushing Shen Yulin and me into the center of the crowd.
As the waltz melody played, Shen Yulin and I stepped onto the dance floor, our movements light and coordinated, like a perfect match. Our hands clasped tightly together, feeling each other's warmth and strength.
The music flowed beautifully, and every turn and step we took was elegant and smooth. Our eyes met, our heartbeats synchronized like the rhythm of a symphony. In this dreamlike dance, it felt as if time had frozen for us.
"The whole world knows you are my wife. From now on, you can never leave me!" Shen Yulin whispered sweetly in my ear. I gazed at him and asked, "What if you're not good enough to me?" He smiled gently, his eyes shining with determination as he replied, "You have everything from me, and I have only you."
As the song ended, Shen Yulin and I held each other tightly, as if time had stopped flowing. At that moment, our eyes met, revealing deep affection for one another. The once bustling crowd around us also paused, breaking into applause and offering their best wishes.
It wasn't until the moon hung high in the sky that the guests began to reluctantly bid us farewell. After sending wave after wave of guests off, I collapsed onto the sofa like a puddle of mud, too exhausted to even move my fingers. Seeing me in this state, Shen Yulin walked over with concern, gently stroking my hair before quietly heading to the bathroom to prepare a warm bath for me. Then he carefully picked me up and carried me into the room, placing me in the bathroom. Immersed in the warm water, I felt the soothing flow wash over my body as if all my fatigue was being swept away.
Lying on the bed, I felt drowsy as Shen Yulin came in holding Tang Tang. He placed Tang Tang in my arms to drink milk while he went to take a shower. By the time he finished his shower and came out, both Tang Tang and I were already fast asleep. He gently picked up Tang Tang and placed her in her crib before pulling off his bath towel and slipping under the covers beside me.
In my drowsiness, I gradually became aware of an indescribable tingling sensation spreading throughout my body. Struggling to open my heavy eyelids, I hazily realized that I was completely exposed; Shen Yulin was leaning over me, kissing the soft skin on my chest.
I tried to muster what little strength I had left to lift my hand and gently pat him down while sounding weary: "I'm really tired; please don't be silly." However, he tenderly replied, "It's okay, sweetheart; just sleep well. I'll take care of everything else."
I could feel his lips wandering across my skin, bringing waves of heat with each touch. Although my mind wasn't fully awake yet, my body reacted instinctively. I trembled slightly as my breathing quickened.
Shen Yulin seemed to notice my change; his movements became even gentler as if he were cherishing a precious treasure. His hands moved to my waist, kneading softly and bringing an unfamiliar yet pleasurable sensation.
At that moment, I felt as if I were in a dreamlike world where everything seemed unreal. My thoughts began to drift away under his passionate touch. I turned over slightly; his lips brushed against my earlobe as he whispered softly: "Wife, you are mine." I let out a soft moan without opening my eyes.
I don't know how long it passed before Shen Yulin finally released me. I felt him holding me tightly in his embrace; it brought an overwhelming sense of security. In his arms, I gradually slipped into a deeper sleep. The night was still long.
Our future path is still lengthy and filled with uncertainties and challenges; however, I firmly believe that Shen Yulin and I will walk side by side through it all. No matter what difficulties lie ahead of us, we will always rely on each other. On this journey of life together, we will traverse mountains and rivers while composing our beautiful chapter together.
