In the following days, I calmed down and devised a detailed plan. I knew that if I confronted them head-on, there would be no good outcome. The best approach was to pretend to comply first, then act secretly. 0

My parents had always been lax in their discipline; their only expectation of me was to take care of my younger siblings. Meanwhile, Shen Xi and Shen Mingxu had long been accustomed to bossing me around without considering my feelings at all. 0

I began to casually inquire about the college application process, pretending to bring it up nonchalantly at the dinner table. "Mom, I heard that there seems to be a change in our school's application process this year; we need to submit it earlier." 0

Without looking up from her television show, my mother replied, "Is that so? That's just right; your sister's study abroad paperwork is almost done. I'll help you fill it out later." 0

"What about me?" I feigned surprise. "I need to submit mine quickly too; otherwise, what if it affects my admission?" 0

My mother glanced at me and said dismissively, "Don't worry; I know what I'm doing regarding your matters." I nodded and said nothing more, but inwardly I couldn't help but sneer. Sure enough, they had no intention of letting me handle my own application. 0

Fortunately, I was well-prepared. With two hours left before the application deadline, I made an excuse to go study at the school library. My mother was sitting on the sofa watching TV and waved her hand dismissively, saying, "Go ahead, come back early tonight." 0

Shen Xi was on a voice call with a friend, laughing so hard that she was completely oblivious to me. I slung my backpack over my shoulder and rushed out the door, sprinting toward the library. 0

It was summer vacation, and the school was quiet; there were hardly any people in the library either. I sat down in front of a computer and quickly opened it up, my fingers flying over the keyboard. 0

In my previous life, not only did I excel academically, but I also self-studied Computer Technology and became proficient in coding and system hacking. Although I hadn't practiced in a while, the muscle memory remained. 0

I hacked into the school's network system and found the login page for the application system. Looking at the familiar login interface made my heart race as I entered my username and password. 0

Although I already knew the outcome, I still felt very nervous. The page refreshed, and all my information was displayed. I clicked on the section for filling out my application, and there it was, the name of Normal University glaring back at me. As expected, they did it! A surge of anger rose within me, mixed with a sense of helplessness about the future. Fortunately, there was still room for redemption. I took a deep breath and modified my application. 0

Looking at the name of the prestigious university I had always dreamed of, the heavy weight in my heart finally lifted. After completing everything, I cleared all my browsing history to ensure nothing was left behind before shutting down my computer and leaving the library. 0

Outside, it was already dark; the campus was brightly lit, and a few windows in the distant teaching building still had their lights on. I looked up at the moon in the sky and let out a long sigh. From now on, I would no longer let anyone control my life. 0

My parents, sister, brother... These people who once meant the world to me now held little weight in my heart. I could only regret why I hadn't awakened sooner. If I had, I wouldn't have suffered because of their selfishness and ruthlessness. 0

But it's okay. I will reclaim everything that belongs to me, one piece at a time. Those who owe me will pay me back double. 0
