Just when I thought everything was under control, Ji Xueran appeared.
She approached Xu Ze and told him that she had saved him once, a long time ago, but Xu Ze had always remembered it. She wove a perfect story, making herself his savior and binding his feelings to her. Her plan was almost successful; Xu Ze began to waver.
That day, I had just walked out of the office building, preparing to get my car when I suddenly felt someone approaching from behind. Before I could react, a large hand covered my mouth and dragged me into a car. The entire process took less than a minute; I didn’t have time to scream for help.
When I came to, I found myself in an abandoned warehouse. Ji Xueran stood in front of me, wearing a smug smile.
“Ji Ranran, didn’t expect this, did you? Look where you are now,” she said.
I looked at her coldly and asked, “What do you want?”
“Hmph, you still dare to be so arrogant,” Ji Xueran sneered. “Do you know how Xu Ze made his choice?”
A chill ran through me. “What do you mean?”
“I told him that if he wanted to be with me, he had to get rid of you,” Ji Xueran said slowly. “And he chose to help you.”
I stared at her in silence.
“But what he didn’t expect was that when I asked him to help you, it was just a way to take your life,” Ji Xueran laughed loudly.
I gritted my teeth and said, “You’re insane.”
“I am insane!” Ji Xueran shouted back. “You forced me into this!”
After she finished speaking, she waved her hand, and several men surrounded me.
I realized that she truly wanted my life.
Ji Xueran had meticulously planned an "accident," putting me in grave danger while Xu Ze, under her manipulation, chose to help her.
For a moment, I found myself in a desperate situation. But I did not give up. I used my intelligence and courage to quickly counterattack, breaking free from those men's control and successfully escaping the scene. When Xu Ze arrived, I was facing Ji Xueran. His expression was complicated, clearly unsure of what to do.
"Xu Ze, do you really trust her?" I asked coldly. Xu Ze looked at me but remained silent. "If you truly believe in her, then you can team up with her against me," I said with a sneer. Xu Ze frowned, "Ji Ranran, I’m not—" "Then stay away from me," I interrupted him. "I don’t need your help." Xu Ze was taken aback. I turned my head and stopped looking at him.
Ji Xueran, seeing that Xu Ze was not moving, began to act coy. "Xu Ze, didn’t you say you would help me?" she said pitifully. Xu Ze glanced at her and then at me, his face showing hesitation. I watched from the side, feeling a cold laugh in my heart. Xu Ze, oh Xu Ze, you are still too naive.
In the end, Xu Ze did not take action. He quietly looked at Ji Xueran, a hint of sorrow in his gaze. "Xueran, this is the last time I will help you," he said. Ji Xueran was stunned.
Xu Ze turned and left without looking back.
...
Ji Xueran watched Xu Ze's retreating figure, her expression shifting from shock to anger, and finally to deep hatred.
"Ji Ranran, don't get too pleased with yourself," she said fiercely. "I will be back."
I smiled coldly. "I'll be waiting."
...
Ji Xueran ran away, but I knew she would eventually return.
Xu Ze's attitude also made me feel a bit uneasy.
He began to grow distant, no longer as warm as before.
I realized he had started to doubt me.
But I didn't explain, knowing that it would be pointless.
I could only wait quietly for Xu Ze to figure out the truth on his own.
