Rao Jie was about to say more when Wu Rong interrupted, "If you want to chat, go back to your room and use your phone. Don't waste my time."
Rao Jie couldn't help but stick out her tongue and smiled at Wu Xin, saying, "I'll let Wei Qian know first, then I'll video call you."

Rao Jie did not hang up the video call without permission; instead, she respectfully handed the phone back to Wu Rong.
Wu Rong took the phone and coldly stared at Wu Xin.
Wu Xin immediately began to flatter, "Brother, you're so great! You're the best brother ever—understanding and considerate..."
"Am I not human?"
Wu Xin's smile grew even brighter. "Of course you are! You're a god!"
Wu Rong shot a glare at Wu Xin before hanging up the video call.
"Thank you, Professor Wu," Rao Jie said shyly with a smile.
Wu Rong squinted his eyes and said coldly, "Don't be too happy too soon. Living here isn't free; there are some things you must do."
Rao Jie hesitated but nodded.
"Just like these past two days, you'll be responsible for all three meals a day. But don't worry, I'll cover all the food expenses, including yours. You must also clean my room, except for the unused rooms."
Rao Jie was taken aback and asked, "Your room? Didn't you say I couldn't go in?"
"Now I agree. I'll tell you what to pay attention to tonight. You must clean it while I'm present."
Rao Jie nodded and said without any dissatisfaction, "Since I'm staying here, it's my responsibility to do these chores."
Wu Rong nodded in satisfaction and added, "By the way, for desserts, you can make a bit more when you have time."
Rao Jie couldn't help but laugh.
Wu Rong frowned and asked, "What are you laughing at?"

Rao Jie rolled her eyes and quickly nodded in agreement, indicating that his reasoning was valid and she understood completely.

Wu Rong raised his hand, bent his two fingers, and struck with some force on Rao Jie's smooth and full forehead, showing a hint of annoyance.

After speaking with Wei Qian, Rao Jie got in touch with Wu Xin. To be honest, she felt a bit inexplicably excited, but only realized it when she saw the background on Wu Xin's side.
"Isn't it too late over there? How about we wait until it's night here and morning there before talking?"
