I couldn't sleep. 0
The entire night, I kept having the same dream. 0
For two consecutive nights, I had the same dream. 0
I dreamed that I uncontrollably walked out of the community, crossed most of the city, 0
and arrived at the riverside near Sanliqiao. 0
Then, I was pulled into the water. 0
Each time I woke up, I found myself feeling as if I had been soaked in water, 0
with water plants hanging on me and blisters forming on the soles of my feet. 0
After dawn, I received a call from the used car market. 0
The car owner told me that the truck was too eerie and had already scared away several potential buyers. 0
He asked me to bring the truck back; otherwise, he wouldn't be able to sell it. 0
I knew there was something wrong with this truck, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. 0
However, I had to sell it. 0
"Boss, please help me find a buyer; we can negotiate on the price." 0
"It's not that I don't want to help you; it's just that this truck is too eerie. I really can't do anything." 0
"Boss, I'll sell it for fifty thousand less; I'll give you the extra money as long as you can help me sell it. I'll give you five thousand more." 0
"Well..." 0
"Boss, I'm in urgent need of money; please help me out." 0
"Alright, I'll do my best." 0
After hanging up the phone, I picked up my phone and glanced at it, only to realize it was already afternoon. 0
I actually slept for so long. 0
I felt very tired and weak, as if my body had been drained of energy. 0
I got up, washed up, and decided to go out for a big meal to replenish myself. 0
I drove to the city center, found a restaurant, and ordered a large spread of dishes. 0
I devoured the food hungrily, and before long, all the dishes on the table were cleaned out by me. 0

I wiped my mouth and walked out of the restaurant. The sunlight outside was blinding, and I squinted as I walked along the bustling street. 0

As I walked, I felt dazed, unsure of what I wanted to do. I kept walking, lost in thought, until it was almost dark when I finally returned to my neighborhood. 0

For some reason, my heart was filled with fear. I was afraid to sleep, fearing that I would have that dream again. However, I couldn't resist the drowsiness and eventually fell asleep. 0

I dreamed again. The scene was identical to the previous dream. Once more, I uncontrollably walked out of the neighborhood, crossing much of the city until I reached the river near Sanliqiao. 0

Once again, someone pulled me into the water. I woke up again to find myself tangled in water plants, my soles blistered and bleeding crimson blood. 0

I was utterly despairing. I couldn't escape this dream or this cursed car. I felt hopeless. I was certain that the woman holding the swaddled baby would kill me. 0

Sitting on my bed, I pondered the reality of the dream. Did I really go to Sanliqiao at night? I wanted to know the answer. 0

I got dressed, went downstairs, and found the security guard in my neighborhood. I handed him a pack of cigarettes and asked him to help me check last night's surveillance footage. 0

The footage showed that I indeed left the neighborhood. Moreover, my walking posture was very strange, as if someone was controlling me—my legs were bent, and my shoulders were hunched. Most importantly, my head hung low as if something were pressing down on it. 0

Seeing this scene, I was completely terrified. The image of me on the surveillance footage was exactly the same as in my dreams. I didn't know how I left the monitoring room; I only remembered walking down the street, feeling an unprecedented sense of helplessness and fear. I took out my phone and dialed my cousin's number. 0

"Yang Wei, help me..." 0

"What happened?" 0

"I... I think I've been cursed..." 0

"Wait for me, I'll be there soon." 0

Yang Wei is my only relative; he is all I have left. Half an hour later, Yang Wei arrived at my house. As soon as he walked in, he asked, "What’s wrong?" 0

I detailed everything that had happened over the past few days to him. After listening, he remained silent for a long time before saying, "Brother Chengzi, I think you should find someone." 0

"Who?" 0

"The Shaman of Baliwa." 0

I had heard about the Shaman of Baliwa a long time ago; she was said to be very powerful and specialized in treating curses. The so-called curse is a type of illness that cannot be explained by medicine. 0

"Brother Chengzi, only the shaman can save you now. If she can't help you, then no one can." 0

"Okay, I'll go." 0

I nodded; at this point, I could only try anything as a last resort. The next morning, I drove with Yang Wei to the home of the Shaman of Baliwa. 0

The shaman's house was very dilapidated, consisting of just a mud hut surrounded by a circle of earthen walls. The front door was made of wood and looked quite simple. Holding the gifts I had bought in advance, I walked into the yard. 0

"Is the shaman home?" 0

"Who is it?" 0
An old voice came from inside the room. 0
"Shaman, I have come to ask for your help." 0
"What is it?" 0
"I have encountered a curse." 0
"Come in." 0
I walked into the room and saw the Shaman sitting on a clay bed, hunched over, her face full of wrinkles, her murky eyes looking at me. 0
As soon as I entered, the Shaman suddenly widened her eyes, showing a look of terror. 0
"You... you..." 0
The Shaman pointed at me, trembling as she spoke. 0
"Shaman, what’s wrong?" 0
"You need to leave, you must go!" 0
The Shaman suddenly became agitated, shouting at me. 0
"Shaman, please help me; you are my only hope..." 0
"I can't save you; you need to hurry and leave!" 0
Saying this, the Shaman jumped off the bed and pushed me towards the door. 0
In order to survive, I disregarded everything else and fell to my knees in front of the Shaman. 0
"Shaman, I beg you, please save me..." 0
Seeing me kneeling, the Shaman sighed and said, "Alright, get up; I'll give it a try." 0
"Thank you, Shaman." 0
