Liu Zhou brought Fairy Yunmeng to the guest room, pushing open the intricately carved wooden door. A faint scent of sandalwood wafted out, and the room was elegantly arranged, clearly prepared by the inn for distinguished guests.
Fairy Yunmeng looked around and nodded slightly, seemingly satisfied with the room. She walked to the window and gently opened it, a rush of fresh air greeted her, revealing a panoramic view outside.
"Dear guest, do you have any further instructions?" Liu Zhou asked respectfully while standing aside.
"No, you may leave," Fairy Yunmeng replied, her back to Liu Zhou, her tone flat as if she sensed nothing unusual.
Liu Zhou slightly bowed and was about to withdraw when he caught a glimpse of something odd on the windowsill. He approached quietly and took a closer look, discovering that a fine layer of white powder had been scattered there.
A shock ran through Liu Zhou as he realized that someone had tampered with this guest room! He discreetly covered up the anomaly and calmly said, "Dear guest, while this room has a broad view, it can be quite windy at night; please be cautious."
Fairy Yunmeng turned around with a barely perceptible smile at the corner of her mouth. "Thank you for the reminder, Brother Waiter. I understand."
After Liu Zhou left, Fairy Yunmeng did not let her guard down. She walked to the center of the room, carefully observing every detail.
Beside the bed stood a zitan wood table with an exquisite tea set on it. Fairy Yunmeng picked up the teapot and gently shook it but did not pour out a single drop of water. Unhurriedly, she opened the lid of the teapot only to find it completely empty.
Setting down the teapot, Fairy Yunmeng walked to the bedside and gently lifted the bed curtain. Although the bedding appeared neat, there was a noticeable crease on the sheet, clearly indicating that someone had tampered with it.
A cold smile crossed Fairy Yunmeng's mind; it seemed that this hidden mastermind had truly gone to great lengths! She discreetly lowered the bed curtain and moved to a corner of the room where she picked up a decorative sword.
The Fairy Yunmeng drew her sword, and a cold light flashed as the blade gleamed straight and sharp. With a flick of her wrist, the sword traced a graceful arc through the air, extinguishing all the candle flames in the room.
The room was immediately plunged into darkness, with only the moonlight filtering in through the window, casting mottled shadows on the floor.
The Fairy Yunmeng stood quietly in the center of the room, holding her sword, waiting for the hidden mastermind to reveal themselves.

After leaving the Fairy Yunmeng's room, Liu Zhou did not wander far but instead hid in the shadows, closely monitoring the movements within.
Although he did not know who intended to harm the Fairy Yunmeng, it was clear from the room's arrangement that the opponent had come prepared and was not to be underestimated.
Liu Zhou felt anxious but knew he could not act recklessly. He had to ensure the Fairy Yunmeng's safety while uncovering the identity and intentions of the intruder.
Suddenly, Liu Zhou heard a faint sound coming from inside the room, as if someone was rummaging through things. His heart raced; he realized that the opponent had begun their actions.
Holding his breath, Liu Zhou strained to listen, trying to discern what was happening inside.
The room was eerily quiet, with only occasional soft sounds that suggested someone was cautiously moving about.
Liu Zhou understood that this person must be highly skilled; otherwise, they would not have been able to infiltrate the room right under his nose without being detected.
He could no longer hesitate and decided to take the initiative.
Liu Zhou quietly arrived outside Fairy Yunmeng's room, gently pushed open the window, and slipped into the room.
The room was pitch black, and he couldn't see his hand in front of his face.
Relying on his exceptional hearing, Liu Zhou captured every sound in the room.
Suddenly, he heard a faint sound of wind coming from behind him.
Liu Zhou was startled; without time to think, his body instinctively darted to the side.
"Clang!"
A crisp metallic collision echoed in the darkness.
Liu Zhou felt a jolt in his hand as a powerful force transmitted from the sword's body, causing his palm to go numb.
He realized he had encountered an opponent!
