"Mm!" Lin Yaru rolled her eyes at the ceiling. How nice it was to hear that! Unfortunately, as the leader of Yan Group, he had none of those virtues or merits.
"Come here!" Yan Chengjie sat on a luxurious leather sofa, beckoning Lin Yaru with a hand, revealing a smile that was both charming and wicked, like that of a devil.
"What... do you want to do?" Lin Yaru nervously took a few steps back.
"Punishment! It's rare for you to accept the consequences of being late so readily, so I can't be too harsh on you, can I?"
Taking advantage of Lin Yaru's momentary distraction, Yan Chengjie reached out and grabbed her, pulling her into his embrace. He kissed her cherry lips fiercely, as if their last meeting had not been just a day ago but rather ten years in the past...
After a few minutes, Lin Yaru finally realized what Yan Chengjie's so-called punishment was! It was only after he was satisfied that he finally released her.
"Today, since it's your first day at work, I'll go easy on you. But if it happens again... it won't be so simple!" Yan Chengjie wore an evil smile, looking as satisfied as a cat that had just had a hearty meal.
"Mm, I understand." Lin Yaru nodded with tears of humiliation in her eyes, feeling wronged.
She painfully reminded herself that she was now on the tiger's territory. She had to tread carefully and protect herself; she couldn't keep falling for this bad guy, Yan Chengjie! After all, he was a tiger fallen to the ground being bullied by dogs, while she was just a little lamb who accidentally wandered into the tiger's den!
"Jie, what should I do now?"
Lin Yaru suppressed her anger and asked in as calm a tone as she could muster.
What should she do?! Hmm, this was something he really hadn't thought about... Yan Chengjie looked around his large, orderly, and tidy office, momentarily stunned.
"How about you take this month's meeting minutes report and calculate it?" Yan Chengjie casually handed the report that had just been delivered from the finance department to Lin Yaru.
"But... I can't do it!"
Lin Yaru stammered in response, her body instinctively shrinking back as if what Yan Chengjie held was a grenade capable of blowing her to pieces.
"Huh?! What?! Did I not hear you correctly?" Yan Chengjie's lips curled into a devilish smile as he leered at her vividly colored lips.
"I really can't... Ah! No..." Lin Yaru could only helplessly allow herself to be pulled into his embrace by Yan Chengjie, all her remaining protests swallowed by his lips...
On her first day at work, Lin Yaru spent a full eight hours without stepping even half a foot out of the Lamborghini office. She vaguely remembered being driven home by Yan Chengjie's Lamborghini.
However, what she didn't expect was that this was just the beginning of her true hellish life.
Whenever there was something Yan Chengjie asked her to do that she didn't do well or couldn't manage, he would always follow through with punishing kisses in the name of discipline, kissing her until she couldn't breathe and begged for mercy.
Lin Yaru finally realized that she had provoked a man who smiled warmly like sunshine but was inherently as evil and petty as a demon.
All of Lin Yaru's past pride and arrogance had vanished without a trace. She lived in constant fear like a mouse, terrified that if she made even the slightest mistake, Yan Chengjie, the big cat always lurking nearby, would pounce on her mercilessly without hesitation...
Now she was truly certain that inviting a wolf into her home had led her to weave herself into a cocoon of suffering!
