"Arrived." Yan Chengjie's Lamborghini came to a stop in front of the Lin family's villa.
Lin Yaru's anger had not yet dissipated. With a cold expression on her beautiful face, she forcefully pulled open the car door and quickly exited the vehicle, leaving without a word.

“There are some important documents; can you help me organize them? I need them for tomorrow,” Yan Chengjie asked, surprised by Lin Yaru’s hesitant expression. “What’s wrong? Do you have plans tonight?”
“I…”
‘Since you are my Secretary, you need to do your job and not prioritize personal matters.’
The words Yan Chengjie had said echoed hauntingly in her ears.
“No! I… I’m fine,” Lin Yaru shook her head weakly. He was still her boss, and she chose to bow to reality.
“Alright, you can go now.” Yan Chengjie handed her a large stack of thick documents.
“Sorry, I have something to attend to… I apologize, let’s reschedule,” Lin Yaru quickly pulled out her phone to call Wu Yuchuan and cancel the appointment.
Yan Chengjie vaguely heard Lin Yaru outside the door lowering her voice to cancel the date.
He raised his well-defined eyebrows, a cunning smile revealing a hint of triumph in his deep eyes.
He inadvertently overheard Lin Yaru's phone call today; it must be the man from that day calling. Knowing they have a date tonight, a strong sense of dissatisfaction welled up in his heart. He didn't want to see them going out together intimately, and he felt compelled to stop them! He pondered all day but couldn't come up with a reason to keep her. The only thing he could do was to shamelessly use work as an excuse to hold her back.
Yan Chengjie watched the beautiful figure of Lin Yaru outside the door as she focused on organizing her materials, and the smile at the corner of his mouth kept growing...
