Ye Jingzhu vaguely heard someone say that Shen Xingyu's surgery had failed. She suddenly opened her eyes, disregarding her injuries, and jumped out of bed.
"Jingzhu, where are you going?" Mo Liangzhe entered with medicine and blocked Ye Jingzhu's way.
"Shen Xingyu, I need to see Shen Xingyu," Ye Jingzhu said, tears welling in her eyes as she looked at Mo Liangzhe. "Liangzhe, please take me to see Shen Xingyu."
"Jingzhu," Mo Liangzhe looked at Ye Jingzhu, unsure how to tell her that Shen Xingyu was already gone.
"Shen Xingyu!" Ye Jingzhu pushed past Mo Liangzhe and ran toward the operating room.
Mo Liangzhe worried about Ye Jingzhu and chased after her.
Ye Jingzhu stood at the door of the operating room, watching as the doctors were packing up. She approached one of the doctors and asked, "Doctor, where is Shen Xingyu?"
"Shen Xingyu has passed away," the doctor said to Ye Jingzhu. "Please accept my condolences."
"What?" Ye Jingzhu stared at the doctor and shouted, "That's impossible! You're lying to me, aren't you?"
"I'm sorry," the doctor shook his head helplessly and left the operating room.
"It can't be," Ye Jingzhu collapsed onto the floor, staring into the operating room with vacant eyes. "How could this happen? How could Shen Xingyu die?"
Mo Liangzhe stood at the door of the operating room, looking at Ye Jingzhu. He asked in confusion, "Jingzhu, Shen Xingyu treated you so poorly; why don't you hate him? Why do you still love him so much?"
"Heh." Ye Jingzhu forced a bitter smile and replied, "Liangzhe, I love Shen Xingyu. I would do anything for him."
"Jingzhu, is it worth it?" Mo Liangzhe looked at Ye Jingzhu with concern.
"It is worth it," Ye Jingzhu nodded and said to Mo Liangzhe, "Because I love him."
"Ye Jingzhu." Shen Xingyu stood at the end of the corridor; he had just woken up and was deeply moved by Ye Jingzhu's words.
"Shen Xingyu?" Hearing his voice, Ye Jingzhu slowly turned around. She looked at Shen Xingyu in disbelief and said, "Shen Xingyu, is it really you?"
"It’s me," Shen Xingyu nodded as he walked up to Ye Jingzhu and embraced her.
"Shen Xingyu." Ye Jingzhu held onto Shen Xingyu and began to cry. "You scared me to death."
"I'm sorry," Shen Xingyu said apologetically. "I worried you."
"As long as you're okay," Ye Jingzhu lifted her head to look at Shen Xingyu and said, "I'm relieved as long as you're fine."
"Fool." Shen Xingyu gently touched Ye Jingzhu's cheek. He looked at Ye Jingzhu and said, "I was lying to you. How could I possibly die?"
"But you..." Ye Jingzhu looked at Shen Xingyu, confused. "But the doctor said..."
"The doctor was talking about someone else," Shen Xingyu replied with a smile. "There’s someone in the operating room who looks exactly like me."
"Ah." Ye Jingzhu looked at Shen Xingyu in surprise, not expecting such a thing to happen.
"You," Shen Xingyu lightly tapped Ye Jingzhu's nose. He smiled and said, "I heard what you just said. You said you love me and are willing to do anything for me?"
"You heard that." Ye Jingzhu's face turned red as she looked at Shen Xingyu. "You're teasing me."
"No," Shen Xingyu shook his head, speaking seriously. "I'm very happy."
"Hehe." Ye Jingzhu laughed through her tears, leaning against Shen Xingyu's embrace. She looked at Mo Liangzhe and gratefully said, "Liangzhe, thank you."
"You're welcome." Mo Liangzhe watched Ye Jingzhu and Shen Xingyu, knowing that after this experience, they would surely be happy together.
