"How did you get here?" I asked instinctively.
"Why can't I be here?" He raised an eyebrow, looking at me with a half-smile. "You really don't want to see me?"
"No, no." I quickly shook my head. "I just didn't expect you to come."
"I'm here to cook for you." He stood up and walked towards the kitchen.
Seeing his confident demeanor, I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
"Chen Yunyun, what kind of expression is that?" Shen Yuqian frowned.
"It's nothing." I pouted. "It's just that he has a bit of money. What's so impressive about that?"
"Hey!" Shen Yuqian raised his hand and tapped my head. "Say that again!"
"I said he was wrong, didn't I?" I muttered in dissatisfaction.
I realized that since Fang Chu couldn't win me over, he was trying to throw money at me. Am I that kind of person?
I gave up on pursuing Fang Chu.
I grabbed Shen Yuqian's hand and excitedly said, "Sister-in-law, I have something to tell you."
"What is it?" Shen Yuqian looked at me curiously.
I took out my phone, opened a social media app, found my pairing with Fang Chu, and held it up in front of Shen Yuqian. "Look, this is my pairing."
"Wow!" Shen Yuqian's eyes widened in excitement. "Is he this handsome?"
"Right?" I grinned. "I think he's really handsome too."
"When did you two get together?" Shen Yuqian asked me curiously.
"Not yet," I replied, pouting. "I'm still pursuing him."
"Keep it up," Shen Yuqian said, patting my shoulder. "I support you."
"Thank you," I smiled and nodded.
During dinner, I showcased my impressive fish filleting skills.
Fang Chu looked at me in surprise. "You can fillet fish too?"
"Of course," I said proudly, lifting my chin. "What can't I do?"
He twitched his mouth. "You're really not modest."
"This is confidence," I chuckled.
Chen Yueyue had long since gotten used to it and calmly continued eating.
After dinner, I was a bit tipsy and clung to Shen Yuqian without letting go.
"Sister-in-law, pour me another glass of red wine."
"No way," Shen Yuqian shook her head. "You've already had enough."
"Where am I drunk?" I pouted unhappily. "I'm perfectly clear-headed."
"You should have some sweet soup instead," Shen Yuqian pushed the sweet soup in front of me. "Drink this to sober up."
"I don't want to," I shook my head and took out my phone. "I'm going to call the guy."
I opened the voice call, and soon the guy answered, "Hello, sister, you finally called me."
"Little brother, I miss you."
I drunkenly said, "Will you come keep me company?"
Everyone was stunned.
I chuckled, "Hey there, when are you coming to find me?"
"Miss, you've had too much to drink. You should go home," the young man said with concern.
"I'm not drunk; I'm completely sober."
I stood up and wobbled over to Fang Chu, saying, "Hey there, you said you missed me, you..."
Before I could finish, I saw Fang Chu's grim face.
"Chen Yunyun!" he shouted through gritted teeth.
I blinked and suddenly realized.
"I'm sorry, I dialed the wrong number."
I quickly hung up and sat down next to Shen Yuqian.
Shen Yuqian and Chen Yueyue were both stunned, staring at me blankly.
I awkwardly smiled and said, "I had too much to drink; don't mind me."
They still didn't say anything.
I felt like crying without tears: "I'm really drunk; please don't be mad at me."
They remained silent.
I was completely speechless.
I knew I had embarrassed myself today.
I promised myself never to drink so much again.
The next day when I woke up, I regretted it deeply.
When I saw the young man waiting for me downstairs, my regret only grew stronger.
