Mo Li was wearing denim shorts and a casual shirt.
She secretly felt relieved that she hadn't worn a skirt; otherwise, it would have been surprising if she didn't expose herself underwater.
Calmly, she said, "Is there a place to change clothes here? You don't expect me to change on the bare rocks, do you?"
She glanced up at the high point overlooking the beach.
A car was parked at the edge of the beach, apparently the one driven by the three people in front of her.
No wonder he had a place to change into swim trunks.
The man snorted.
"Sharp-tongued."
Mo Li raised an eyebrow.
"You don't believe me? Do you think I can't swim in this outfit? I won't lose to you either way."
Two heads popped out from behind the rocks, their eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Wow, no one has ever dared to challenge our boss."
"Boss, the young lady is challenging you directly. If you don't accept, wouldn't that be too embarrassing?"
The boss they spoke of looked at Mo Li with interest and casually asked, "What's your name?"
Mo Li raised her chin defiantly.
"You don't need to know my name; just tell me if you dare to compete with me."
Her tone was extremely arrogant.
She was feeling restless today and wanted to vent, to release all her pent-up frustration and confusion.
A smile appeared on the man's face.
"Interesting. My name is Ji Yan. Let's compete, but there should be some stakes involved, right?"
Mo Li paused for a moment and asked, "What will the stakes be?"
Ji Yan pointed to the rock where Mo Li had been sitting earlier and said, "If you lose, you have to tell me what you were thinking about while sitting there looking troubled."
Mo Li retorted defiantly, "What if I win?"
"What do you want?" Ji Yan retorted.
He then added, "However, I guess you have no chance of winning."
Mo Li did not engage in a pointless verbal spar with him and thought for a moment.
She had nothing she needed Ji Yan to do.
Ji Yan whistled and said, "If you're scared, you can cancel the match."
Mo Li smiled slightly, pointed at the two heads behind the rocks, and said, "If you lose, you mustn't make things difficult for them because of what happened today."
Ji Yan showed a hint of surprise on his face but answered readily, "Alright, it's settled then."
