The sky had darkened, and the neon lights along the street reflected off her figure, creating an illusion that felt almost unreal.
Xiao Ran gazed at her straight posture and suddenly felt that she was different.
In the past, she had been like a gentle, dependent little bird.
But now, her slender body seemed to have matured significantly, exuding a decisiveness that suggested she could handle any crisis.
Xiao Ran sighed, realizing that the little girl from back then had grown up.

“Mo Li.”
Xiao Ran couldn't help but call out.
“What?”
Mo Li stopped in her tracks but did not turn around.
Xiao Ran spoke to her back, "Mo Li, if you encounter any difficulties, feel free to come find me. You know that no matter what, I am on your side, and I will help you."
"Thank you."
Mo Li replied softly and quickly walked away.
Once she reached a place out of Xiao Ran's sight, Mo Li got into a taxi and headed to an old and worn-down residential area.
It was already late, and the roads within the residential area were empty.
There were few shops, and occasionally one could see a hurried passerby.
The houses in the residential area were chaotic, and even the taxi driver did not know where the house Mo Li was looking for was located.
He had no choice but to park in a more central area.
Mo Li got out of the car.
The driver looked around at the surroundings and then at the slender Mo Li, rolling down the window to ask,
"Miss, are you really going to look for that house? This place is quite messy; why not come back during the day? I can take you to a more populated area."
Mo Li smiled and said, "No need, thank you."
The Driver thought for a moment and finally said with determination, "How about I accompany you to find that house, and then I'll take you out afterward?"
Mo Li was surprised.
There are still kind-hearted people in this world.
She said happily, "Sure, I'll pay you for the fare."
The Driver muttered, "The fare is no problem. If I leave such a beautiful girl here and something happens, I would feel guilty for the rest of my life."
