Han Weiting did not take me to another place, but home.
In the living room of the house sat a person—Guo Liancheng, his first love.
I looked at Guo Liancheng, feeling a mix of emotions.
I never expected Han Weiting would really bring me home, and even introduce me to the person he loved most.
Upon seeing Han Weiting, Guo Liancheng excitedly stood up and rushed towards him, saying, “ Zhi, I’m back.”
He seemed a bit stunned until Guo Liancheng's tousled hair brushed against his neck, and then he responded, his voice dry and stiff, as if confirming her return.
“Yeah, you’re back.”
I watched them, feeling complicated inside, but I couldn’t help but mutter softly,
“Han Weiting, your old flame has returned.”
Guo Liancheng not only moved into Han Weiting's villa but also stayed inseparable from him.
I observed this; although Han Weiting did not cancel his plans to marry me, Guo Liancheng's return clearly changed his attitude towards me.
During dinner, Guo Liancheng sat right next to Han Weiting, while I was pushed to the other side.
The lively demeanor of Guo Liancheng contrasted sharply with the silence of Han Weiting. I didn’t understand why Han Weiting still wouldn’t let me leave after Guo Liancheng returned.
One day, Han Weiting came home drunk, disheveled and looking utterly exhausted.
I noticed his tie was askew, his hair was messy, and his eyes were bloodshot.
As soon as he saw me, he chuckled lightly, “ Lin Nuannuan, you’re getting more disobedient.”
I frowned, “What do you mean?”
He leaned closer to me, his breath heavy with alcohol.
Looking at me, a hint of sadness flashed in his eyes: “I lost her.”
I was confused: “What do you mean?”
He sighed and warmed a cup of milk for me, commanding, “Drink it.”
I shook my head: “I don’t want to drink milk.”
Han Weiting insisted: “No, you have to drink it.”
I was a bit angry and suddenly stood up. "Han Weiting, what do you mean by this?"
He looked at me, a complex expression flashing in his eyes. He reached out, grabbed my hand, and pulled me in front of him. "Drink it."
I struggled desperately. "I don't want to drink it! I don't want to drink it!"
Han Weiting suddenly pinched my chin and forced the milk into my mouth. I choked and coughed, feeling overwhelmed.
Han Weiting looked at me, a hint of reluctance in his eyes. He sighed and pulled me into his arms. "Alright, alright, if you don't want to drink it, then don't."
I was on the verge of tears because of him. Han Weiting quickly hugged me and apologized.
He wiped away my tears and said softly, "Alright, Nuan Nuan, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have forced you to drink the milk."
I shot him a glare. "It's good that you know you're wrong."
He nodded and looked at me seriously. "I will never force you to do something you don't like again."
I felt my face flush under his gaze and mumbled softly, "That's more like it."
Han Weiting held me close, and I leaned against his chest, listening to the strong rhythm of his heartbeat.
Even though he had hurt me before, his kindness now felt like being wrapped in honey.
I looked up at him; he was gazing down at me. Our eyes met, and I felt as if I could see my reflection in his deep eyes.
Suddenly, Han Weiting leaned down and kissed me.
I was taken aback; the sudden kiss left me bewildered.
His kiss was passionate and urgent, making me feel dizzy as I melted into his embrace.
I lost track of time until he finally released me. I gasped for air, my face flushed.
Han Weiting looked at me, desire evident in his eyes. He whispered, "Nuan Nuan, I want..."
I quickly covered his mouth and scolded him, "Han Weiting, are you crazy?"
He took my hand and gently kissed it near his lips. "I just want to hold you."
My face turned red as I quickly withdrew my hand. "Then... then you should go take a shower first."
Han Weiting looked at me with a smile in his eyes and nodded. "Okay."
Watching Han Weiting walk into the bathroom, my heart raced. I covered my chest and murmured to myself, " Lin Nuannuan, you have really fallen." Even though he had hurt me before, he is truly treating me very well now.
