The days on the hospital bed were truly unbearable. I wasn't afraid of death, but being confined in this small space was really uncomfortable. When the nurse finally allowed me to take a walk in the garden downstairs, I felt as if I had been liberated. 0

I loved staying in the shade of the trees, especially when there was a white piano in the courtyard of the square. I heard from the nurse that this piano was donated by a previous patient. Sometimes, someone would play there. 0

One boy, around seventeen or eighteen years old, left a deep impression on me. His hair was white; although his skin was also pale, it wasn't due to albinism but rather a color he had dyed himself. He came to play the piano every day, which made me curious. I secretly wondered if he, like me, had an unspeakable past. 0

On the fourth day, the boy didn't come. Unable to resist, I sat down at the piano and played a piece from my memory. However, I forgot one transitional note. Just as I was feeling frustrated, a long and slender hand reached over to help me complete the piece. 0

I turned around in surprise and found it was the white-haired boy. For some reason, I didn't feel repulsed by him, which was rare for me. I thought to myself, "This kid is actually quite handsome, and his piano skills are good too." 0

He played through the piece with me again and then sat beside me for a four-hand duet. This experience reminded me of my childhood dreams. When I was very young, I aspired to become a pianist. 0

When we finished playing, the boy smiled and introduced himself: "Hello, my name is Xu Mingxing. Sister, it's been a long time." 0

I paused for a moment and jokingly said, "Have we met? Were you my classmate in elementary school?" 0

Xu Mingxing laughed as well, and the atmosphere became relaxed and joyful. This encounter lifted my spirits considerably. I began to look forward to our next piano duet together. 0

As for Xu Mingxing, I really have no impression of him at all. But every time he sees me, he greets me warmly, as if we are old friends who have been reunited after a long time apart. I couldn't help but ask him, "Where have we met before?" Xu Mingxing always responds mysteriously, "Don't worry, one day you'll remember." 0

Although I don't know what he's up to, I don't dislike him; in fact, I find myself liking him a bit. He always appears when I need someone the most, taking me away from that ghostly place filled with the smell of disinfectant in the hospital. He would push my wheelchair in the early morning and take me to the countryside to see the rapeseed flowers. He would also take me to the seaside in the evening to enjoy the breeze. His smile is like the sun, making me feel the beauty of life. 0

Even though he occasionally throws little tantrums, like asking me to play games with him or buying me ice cream, I can't bring myself to dislike him. His presence allows me to temporarily forget my pain. However, one day, he suddenly leaned closer and said mysteriously, "Sister, do you want to come with me?" 0

I was taken aback and couldn't help but doubt in my heart: "Could this guy have taken a liking to me?" But I am currently Han Weiting's person; there's no way I could go with anyone else. Xu Mingxing seemed to sense my concerns and smiled as he ruffled my hair, saying, "Sister, don't worry; I won't put you in a difficult position." 0

I nodded, feeling somewhat touched. That night, Xu Mingxing helped me escape from the hospital. He hid in my ward until it was late at night and then pulled me out through the back door. Wearing slippers, I was dragged along by him as we ran together. The night wind tousled my hair, and I couldn't help but ask, "Is this really okay?" 0

Xu Mingxing turned back and winked at me with a smile: "Sister, you have to trust me." At that moment, I inexplicably believed him. I trusted this strange yet familiar boy; he surely wouldn't harm me. 0

He pushed me to the entrance of the hospital, where there was an old bicycle. He got on the bike and gestured for me to sit behind him. I climbed on and held onto him tightly. The wind by the seaside at night was strong, but I felt a sense of freedom. I couldn't help but look up at the starry sky, the countless stars reflecting my current mood, filled with hope. However, we hadn't gone far when several motor vehicles caught up with us. Xu Mingxing pedaled desperately, but I could tell he was about to give out. I couldn't help but say, "Why don't you let me off? You can escape on your own." Xu Mingxing shook his head, gritting his teeth as he continued to ride. Finally, we were caught up. The headlights illuminated us, and Han Weiting got out of the car, pulling me tightly into his embrace. His voice was hoarse but carried a hint of humorous threat: "If you want to take my treasure away, I have to show you what you're up against first." 0
