"We need to find a way to take it down!" 0
"How do we do that?" 0
"Chop off its head!" 0
"Alright!" 0
A Meng stopped in his tracks, suddenly turned around, and swung the Black Gold Blade at the giant turtle's head. 0
The giant turtle reacted slowly and couldn't dodge in time. 0
With a muffled "thud," the Black Gold Blade embedded deeply into the turtle's neck. 0
The giant turtle struggled in pain for a moment before crashing to the ground. 0
A Meng pulled back his blade and delivered a few more strikes, severing the turtle's head from its body. 0
"That's what you get for chasing me!" A Meng cursed, "Damn it, you scared the life out of me!" 0
Xiao Xiao walked over, crouched down, and carefully examined the turtle's corpse. 0
He noticed a bulge beneath the turtle, as if something was stuck inside. 0
He reached out and poked it; the object felt soft and seemed to be moving. 0
"What is this?" Xiao Xiao wondered. 0
He took out his small knife and cut open the bulging skin. 0
Then he was stunned. 0
"Oh my, it's a big snake!" 0
Inside that bulging sac lay a large snake as thick as a bowl! 0
The snake was pure white, its scales shimmering coldly, and its tongue flickered like flames. 0
It was staring at Xiao Xiao with cold eyes, as if it intended to swallow him whole. 0
"Be careful!" I shouted. 0
Xiao Xiao quickly stepped back, and at the same time, A Meng swung the Black Gold Blade at the snake. 0
The snake was sliced in two but continued to thrash on the ground, trying to attack us. 0

"Kill it!" A Meng shouted. 0

We charged forward, using slingshots to shoot at the giant snake's head and the Black Gold Blade to slash at its body. After an intense battle, the snake finally lay still. 0

Exhausted, we sat by the campfire, staring at the snake's corpse, still feeling a sense of dread. 0

"I never expected there would be such dangerous creatures in these mountains," A Meng said, wiping the sweat from his forehead. 0

"Yeah, it almost ate us just now," Xiao Xiao lamented. 0

I looked around and asked, "Do you think there are other monsters in these mountains?" 0

A Meng and Xiao Xiao exchanged glances, their expressions turning serious. 0

"I don't know, but we need to be careful," A Meng replied. 0

"Let's call it a day; we're too tired. We should head back and rest, then look for a way tomorrow," Xiao Xiao suggested. 0

"Okay," I nodded. 0

After a simple dinner, we crawled into the treehouse to sleep. To prevent wild animal attacks, we used the giant turtle shell to block the entrance as a door. 0

The night passed without incident. 0

Once we finished packing up, we pushed aside the turtle shell and stepped out of the tree hollow, finally able to examine the giant turtle shell closely. 0

The shell was about the length of a person, with a raised center and slightly curved edges. It was covered in diamond-shaped patterns that gave it an ancient and weathered appearance. 0

We speculated that this turtle might have lived for hundreds of years and could even have ascended to a higher realm. 0

"We need to take this turtle shell with us," A Meng said. 0

"Why should we?" Xiao Xiao complained. "Carrying it would be a burden." 0

"I'll carry it; you don't have to," A Meng said as he lifted the shell onto his back. 0

"You..." Xiao Xiao rolled her eyes in frustration. 0

"From now on, you're our new member," I said, patting the turtle shell. "Welcome aboard." 0

"What should we name it?" A Meng asked. 0

"Let's call it Divine Turtle Ameng," I said. 0
"Divine Turtle Ameng..." A Meng murmured it a few times, nodding in satisfaction. "Good, I like this name." 0
Thus, the team of four gained another member, Divine Turtle Ameng. 0
