Fu Guanbai furrowed his brows.
With concern, he said, "Qingqing won't be in trouble, right? After all, she is a woman..."
He sighed, "This child really doesn't make it easy for me!"
He looked at his subordinate and ordered, "Immediately send someone to find her; even if we have to turn the tavern upside down, we must locate her!"
"Yes!" the subordinate replied and hurriedly left.
Fu Guanbai stood up and paced back and forth in the living room.
I exchanged glances with Fu Bo and then spoke up, "Father, since Auntie went missing at the tavern, let's go check there."
"That sounds good," Fu Guanbai nodded.
The four of us rushed to the tavern.
By this time, it was getting late; many carriages were parked outside, and the inside was bustling with people.
Fu Guanbai headed straight to the counter to inquire with the Keeper.
"Excuse me, has a Miss Fu come by?" he asked.
"A Miss Fu..." the Keeper thought for a moment before suddenly recalling, "Oh, yes, there was a Miss Fu who came in; she booked a private room but hasn't come out since."
"Which room?" Fu Guanbai asked urgently.
"The Heavenly Room."
Fu Guanbai immediately walked towards the Heavenly Room, with the three of us following closely behind.
Upon reaching the door, Fu Guanbai paused for a moment before pushing the door open.
Inside the room lay four people on the bed—three men and one woman—all naked and sound asleep.
The woman was none other than Fu Qingqing.
Fu Guanbai was stunned.
He stared blankly at the scene before him, his eyes gradually reddening.
"Qingqing..." he murmured softly.
Hearing the sound, Fu Qingqing slowly opened her eyes.
She saw Fu Guanbai, and for a moment, she was stunned before letting out a sharp scream.
"Ah—"
She suddenly sat up, "Brother, what are you doing here?!"
"I..." Fu Guanbai opened his mouth, his voice hoarse, "I came to find you..."
"Find me?" Fu Qingqing was taken aback for a moment, then instinctively glanced at the three men beside her.
She froze.
The next second, she let out an even sharper scream.
"Ah—how did they get here?!"
"I don't know..." Fu Guanbai shook his head.
Fu Qingqing frantically grabbed the blanket to cover her body and desperately pushed the three men away.
"Get away, all of you get away!"
The three men were awakened by her pushing.
They opened their eyes and, seeing Fu Qingqing, looked just as confused.
"You..." Zhao Family Second Young Master blinked, "What are you doing here?"
"I want to ask you the same thing!" Fu Qingqing screamed.
"Qingqing, what is going on?" Fu Guanbai walked out from the next room.
She must have heard the noise and come to check.
Seeing Fu Guanbai, Fu Qingqing seemed to remember something.
She suddenly jumped off the bed and lunged at Fu Guanbai!
Fu Guanbai was pushed against the wall, her neck gripped tightly by Fu Qingqing.
"It’s you, you scheming witch who set me up!" Fu Qingqing shouted frantically.
"Qingqing, what are you doing?!" Fu Guanbai rushed over and pulled Fu Qingqing away.
The housekeepers rushed in, separating Fu Qingqing from the three men. Fu Qingqing was still struggling wildly.
"You shameless woman, you set me up!" Her eyes were bloodshot as she stared fiercely at Fu Guangbai.
"Slap!" A crisp slap landed on Fu Qingqing's face, turning her head to the side.
She stared blankly and raised her head, "Brother, you hit me?"
"You have disappointed me too much!" Fu Guanbai said angrily.
"It wasn't me; it was Fu Guangbai who set me up!" Fu Qingqing screamed.
"Then tell me, why would Qing Dai want to frame you?" Fu Guanbai asked.
"She... she..." Fu Qingqing stammered, unable to articulate a coherent response.
I glanced at Fu Guangbai and calmly said, "Aunt, your mother has treated you so well; how could you slander her?"
"Shut up!" Fu Qingqing yelled at me.
I smiled and continued to ask, "Aunt, you say your mother framed you; do you have any evidence?"
"I..." Fu Qingqing couldn't answer.
