The backyard was not large; aside from a dozen cars, there was little open space left. Zhang San Ye's group consisted of only eight people, while Tang Zhenghao had nearly twenty. Eight against twenty—it seemed they had come prepared. The two groups faced each other, only two meters apart. 0

The burly bodyguard stepped forward and clasped his fists, saying, "I am Liu Lang. I have long heard of the reputation of the White Horse Gang and Zhang San Ye..." 0

"Enough," Zhang San Ye interrupted impatiently. "Tang, my brothers know you have acquired some good goods in Beast City. I'm currently short on cash; leave the goods, and you can go." 0

Tang Zhenghao fell silent. He was aware of Zhang San Ye's notorious reputation; leaving the goods behind did not guarantee anyone's safety. With a sharp command, he shouted, "Kill!" 0

Both sides had been on edge for a while, and at the command, they immediately clashed. The sounds of clashing metal, screams, and curses filled the air. 0

Zhang San Ye was indeed a professional in the underworld; despite being outnumbered eight to twenty, his group had the upper hand. As soon as they engaged, three members of Tang's caravan fell to the ground. Zhang San Ye's crew swung their blades mercilessly, and no one from the caravan could withstand their assault. 0

Seeing two more people fall to the ground with wounds, Tang Zhenghao raised his blade to charge forward but was held back by his bodyguards. As a businessman with average martial skills, he relied on his keen eye and intellect to make a living; fighting was not his strong suit. 0

At that moment, Xu Feng, who had been watching from the corner of the wall, suddenly sneezed. Now at Qi Refinement First Layer, his strength far surpassed that of most experts. The sneeze caused two of Zhang San Ye's knife-wielders to be knocked unconscious. 0

The entire scene fell silent. 0

One sneeze knocked you out—how could you still fight? 0

Zhang San Ye's face turned ashen as he realized he had encountered a formidable opponent and might not make it out alive. He quickly clasped his fists and said, "I am Bai Ma Zhang San; may I ask your name..." 0

"Enough," Xu Feng mimicked Zhang San Ye's earlier tone and said, "Either leave or die." 0

"Thank you." Without further ado, Zhang San Ye turned and exited with several companions who had fallen behind him closely following. 0

Tang Zhenghao, seeing that the crisis had been resolved, hurried over to express his gratitude, saying, "Thank you, young hero." He did not inquire about Xu Feng's name; with a wave of his hand, his companions understood and immediately handed over several banknotes. 0

Xu Feng did not refuse and accepted the money. Although it held little value for him personally, he knew that if he did not accept it, Tang Zhenghao might harbor resentment, which would not be beneficial for their journey together. 0

The escort Liu Lang also came over to thank him. Liu Lang was an escort from the Escort Agency and had nearly met with disaster this time. Upon returning, he would inevitably report to the chief escort and rally men to seek revenge against the White Horse Gang. 0

After clearing up the situation, they found that three members of the merchant team had died, five were injured, one escort had died, and two were wounded. 0

While there had been fatalities in the courtyard, there was no commotion inside the inn. It seemed that the innkeeper had informed the guests in advance. Guests who dared to stay at such a remote inn generally possessed some courage and were not easily frightened into staying indoors by such events. 0

The next day, they continued on their journey and unexpectedly encountered another caravan. Both groups had their own guards and privacy; after some negotiation, they agreed to maintain a distance of about a mile between them for separation. 0

This caravan consisted of two horse-drawn carriages: one for luggage and one for passengers. Judging by their attire, they appeared to be family members of local officials who were relocating for some reason. Accompanying them were six guards in military uniforms. Since they were walking, the carriages did not move quickly. Among the guards were four middle-aged men who looked like merchants; they seemed to have banded together seeking protection. 0

With the merchant team in front and the passenger team behind, both groups moved at a steady pace, showing a degree of understanding despite having little interaction. The larger presence was somewhat beneficial along the way. 0

After traveling for two days and noticing that they were getting farther from Beast City, Xu Feng felt a sense of relief. Due to the incident at the inn, Tang Zhenghao had become much friendlier towards Xu Feng. He included him in meals and drinks along the way; such gestures naturally carried an air of goodwill. Xu Feng would occasionally engage him in conversation. 0

Xu Feng only wished to discreetly escape from Wan Jian Sect's sphere of influence; he had not yet decided on his destination. Through their discussions, he learned that this merchant team was transporting goods from Beast City back towards Xian City in the northeast direction. Tang Zhenghao was a local from Xian City and owned a business called Tang's Trading Company there, which was doing reasonably well. 0

However, what goods they were transporting remained unmentioned, and Xu Feng did not inquire further. 0

On the third morning, the worst fear came true. A large eagle swooped down and blocked the caravan's path, followed closely by three figures dressed in green who jumped down from its back. 0

Xu Feng had never seen such a large eagle before; he had only read about it in Xuan Lu's Spirit Beast Chronicle. However, the few people in green clothing descending from the eagle were the last individuals Xu Feng wanted to encounter. 0

They wore the same green attire and wielded white swords—members of the Wan Jian Sect. 0

As the three landed, their aura as cultivators spread out, causing the merchants to change color and the members of the caravan to tremble in fear. 0

In the end, Tang Zhenghao mustered his courage to step forward and respectfully said, "Greetings, Immortal Masters..." 0

The three ignored Tang Zhenghao and began searching the crowd with their gazes. Xu Feng felt a sense of dread; just as he was about to take out his bow for a preemptive strike, one of the young men among them shouted, "Over there, Qian Shixiong, Kong Shixiong, I see him!" 0

Following his pointed direction, Xu Feng looked and saw four middle-aged merchants from the caravan. Upon noticing that members of the Wan Jian Sect were approaching them, the four were startled and jumped away, revealing their agile movements. 0

The three members of the Wan Jian Sect drew their swords and surrounded the four middle-aged men. As they prepared for battle, the surrounding crowd scattered in panic. Those who lived by their wits were not fools; everyone could see this was a conflict between cultivators where one would either die or be severely injured. 0

Xu Feng blended into the crowd and fled until he had put four or five miles between himself and the chaos before stopping. 0

The fight had already begun over there with hardly any dialogue; it was a flurry of strikes. The three swords from Wan Jian Sect surrounded the four men in a well-coordinated formation. 0

The four middle-aged men wielded different weapons—swords, staffs, whips, and spears—but despite being surrounded, they remained calm. In a four-against-three situation, they showed no signs of defeat. 0

Watching from a distance, Xu Feng thought that these three must have come for him while allowing those four to take the blame. The four men did not even attempt to explain themselves. He decided that if an opportunity arose, he would help eliminate these three pests. 0

The three disciples of Wan Jian Sect were stronger than Zhao Shixiong; their sword techniques were fierce and sharp, employing the Spirit Serpent Sword Technique that Xu Feng had just learned. Although Xu Feng was not as skilled in execution, their momentum and power were on another level altogether. After all, Xu Feng was only at Qi Refinement First Layer while these three were at least above Third Layer. 0

The four people surrounded were at a slight disadvantage, but with four against three, they could still balance the situation. After dozens of exchanges, the four gradually began to tire. Qian Shixiong and Kong Shixiong from the Wan Jian Sect managed to injure one opponent, and the tide of battle became clear. 0

Seeing that they were outmatched, one of the wielders of the whip suddenly pulled out three Martial Talismans and waved them into the wind. Three flashes of light shot toward their opponents. Qian Shixiong and his companions were caught off guard and hurriedly dodged, but the bright lights suddenly magnified tenfold, enveloping all three of them. 0

With two cries of agony, the Juvenile Man and Kong Shixiong were taken down by the four who seized the opportunity. Qian Shixiong managed to escape unscathed, but it was clear that he could not take on four opponents alone. 0

Qian Shixiong let out a sharp cry as a giant eagle swooped down from half the sky. He leaped onto the eagle's back. The four attackers were too late to react; seeing Qian Shixiong flying higher and higher made them furious. If this guy got away, reinforcements would arrive in no time, and they would be left waiting for death. 0

Just when the four were at a loss, a sharp sound pierced the air. A Wolf Fang Arrow with a faint red glow shot through beneath the giant eagle, striking it. The eagle let out a mournful scream and plummeted from half the sky. 0

With two loud thuds, Qian Shixiong also fell to the ground from the eagle's back, landing fifty meters above ground. He stretched his legs and lay still. 0

The four rushed over and began hacking away at the giant eagle, turning it into minced meat. 0

Not far away on a high ground, Xu Feng was still in a pose with his bow drawn, aiming at the eagle. The wind tousled his slightly disheveled hair, making him look exceptionally heroic in that moment. 0
