Li Xiaolu secretly glanced at him; his profile was truly handsome, with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, a high nose bridge, and thin lips pressed together, looking just like the male lead from a comic book. 0

As she continued to look, an unusual feeling suddenly arose in her heart. She quickly averted her gaze, scolding herself inwardly for being infatuated and unable to move on upon seeing a handsome guy. Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she said to the man, "My name is Li Xiaolu." 0

The man lifted his head and glanced at her. "Jijun." 0

"Jijun?" Li Xiaolu was taken aback for a moment before bursting into laughter. "Hahahahahaha!" 0

Jijun: "..." 0

Li Xiaolu covered her mouth, trying not to laugh too exaggeratedly. "Hahahahahaha, your name is so funny, Jijun! Who do you have a crush on? Hahahahahaha!" 0

Jijun: "..." 0

He pressed his lips together and remained silent. 0

Once Li Xiaolu had laughed enough, she wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes and said to Jijun, "Your name is much more interesting than mine." 0

Jijun: "..." 0

The corners of his mouth twitched slightly, but he said nothing. 0

Outside, the sky gradually darkened, and the evening breeze grew cooler. Li Xiaolu was only wearing a short-sleeved shirt and couldn't help but shiver from the cold. 0

Jijun noticed this and frowned, asking, "Are you cold?" 0

Li Xiaolu shook her head and smiled. "Not really; I just have a weaker constitution, so I feel it more acutely." 0

Jijun remained silent as he glanced at Li Xiaolu's hands. 0

Following his gaze, Li Xiaolu realized her fingers had become stiff from the cold. Feeling a bit embarrassed, she quickly hid her hands in her pockets and smiled. "See? It's nothing serious; they're just a bit stiff." 0

Jijun didn't respond. 0

He suddenly realized that his earlier comment might have been a bit hurtful. Not being someone who was good at explaining himself, he chose silence in that moment. 0

But Li Xiaolu misunderstood his meaning. She thought he didn't believe her, so she handed him her phone and said, "Look, I'm really not cold." 0

Jijun glanced at her phone screen, which was dark and showed low battery. He frowned and asked, "Is your phone about to die?" 0

"Yeah," Li Xiaolu nodded and said, "So I need to hurry and get a taxi home." 0

Jijun nodded and didn't say anything more. The two of them stood by the roadside waiting for a taxi. 0

The night breeze grew colder, and Li Xiaolu shivered, but she insisted on standing there waiting for a ride. Jijun watched her, and a strange feeling suddenly surged within him. He couldn't quite articulate what that feeling was; he just sensed that this girl didn't seem as strong as she appeared on the surface. Perhaps she also had a softer side inside her. 0

After hesitating for a moment, he said to Li Xiaolu, "Your phone is about to die. If you don't manage to get a taxi, you can still contact me." 0

Li Xiaolu glanced at him and nodded, "Okay." She took out her phone, opened WeChat, displayed the QR code, and held it out to Jijun. "You can scan it." 0

Jijun took out his phone to scan her QR code, but it didn't work. 0

Li Xiaolu looked at her phone screen in confusion and then awkwardly said, "I'm sorry, my phone is out of battery." 0

Jijun nodded in understanding. He took out a power bank and offered it to Li Xiaolu. "You can use mine for now." 0

Li Xiaolu looked at him with some hesitation. 0

Jijun said lightly, "We're friends, aren't we?" 0

Hearing his words made Li Xiaolu's heart skip a beat. She glanced at the power bank in his hand and then back at him. Finally, she accepted the power bank and said, "Thank you." 0

Jijun didn't say anything. He took out his phone and glanced at it, saying, "I've added you; you should receive my messages now." 0
"Mm." Li Xiaolu nodded. 0
She plugged her power bank into her phone to charge it. 0
Jijun said, "I'm going to smoke a cigarette." 0
"Mm." 0
Jijun walked a short distance away, lit a cigarette, and started smoking. 0
He rarely smoked unless he was particularly agitated. 0
He didn't know why he had lent the power bank to Li Xiaolu; perhaps it was because he felt there was something special about her. 0
After finishing one cigarette, he returned to Li Xiaolu's side. 0
Li Xiaolu was looking down at her phone. When he saw the screen light up, he asked, "How's it going?" 0
Li Xiaolu looked up and smiled, saying, "It's fully charged now." 0
"That's good," Jijun nodded. 0
