Ye Ming realized that he might have upset Wu Rong. If it were before, he would have worried about it, but now... he had a plan.
That night, Wu Rong had a dream. He rarely remembered his dreams, and even when he did, he seldom dreamed of people. In this dream, he saw Rao Jie, standing there wrapped in a towel, looking panicked as she regarded him with the eyes of someone facing a 'robber.'
He impatiently told her to get out. Then... the dream kept repeating: him entering the room and telling Rao Jie to get out. It went on and on until dawn.
He felt as if he had just experienced a nightmare, overwhelmed by a sense of helplessness that left him dazed. After waking up, Wu Rong couldn't stop thinking... why did he dream of Rao Jie? What did that dream mean?
“... Professor Wu... Professor Wu!”
Rao Jie’s voice interrupted Wu Rong's thoughts. They were sitting together on the carpet; Rao Jie was working on problems while he watched her.
He found himself staring at the side of Rao Jie’s face, pondering what made her special enough to appear in his dreams. Was it simply because they spent so much time together?
Although Ye Ming often spoke nonsense, some of it had theoretical backing; being around someone constantly could easily lead to mutual influence.
Wu Rong didn’t respond to Rao Jie but fell back into his deep thoughts. However, Rao Jie felt uneasy under his intense gaze; being looked at like prey by someone like Wu Rong was unsettling.
Today, Wu Rong was particularly unusual. Normally disdainful of her sitting on the floor, he sat beside her this time. While it made discussing problems easier, it also made Rao Jie feel breathless.
They were too close; she could smell the refreshing scent of his shower gel mixed with the aroma of the cake he had just eaten, along with his unique masculine scent.
Rao Jie couldn’t help but feel her cheeks warm. The differences between men and women were undeniable; she couldn’t ignore Wu Rong’s strong presence—his presence as a man.
She had to remind Wu Rong again, “Professor Wu, I’m done.”
Wu Rong snapped back to reality, struggling to focus. He took Rao Jie’s test paper and glanced through it; it was just a simple quiz with fixed question types that he had already taught them once before, so she got everything right.
"Not bad... Next..." Wu Rong slowly began to explain other points of knowledge and then asked Rao Jie to do some practice problems.
After completing one problem, Rao Jie turned to look at Wu Rong and found her staring blankly at her again.
Rao Jie couldn't help but notice this and reached up to touch her cheek, saying, "Professor Wu, why do you keep looking at my face? Is there something on it?"
Wu Rong snapped back to reality, feeling a bit embarrassed but trying to appear composed. "Oh, I noticed that you have a small brownish-yellow mole on the outer corner of your right eye, and there's another one extending from the outer corner. I was observing the shape they form."
The thought process of a mathematical genius is beyond ordinary understanding.
Rao Jie asked, "...So did you figure it out?" She knew she had three moles but had never considered their shapes.
Wu Rong had initially mentioned it casually, but after taking a closer look, she discovered something interesting. "Huh? It actually forms an equilateral triangle."
