After a while, the doorbell rang. Jijun stood up, walked to the door, opened it, and brought in the takeout. He placed the takeout on the dining table and then looked at Li Xiaolu.
"Come over and eat," Jijun said gently as he looked at her. Li Xiaolu glanced at him, nodded slightly, then stood up and walked to the dining table to sit down. Jijun smiled at her and picked up a spoon to start eating. Li Xiaolu watched him with some concern.
"How is it? Is it good?" Li Xiaolu asked, looking at him with care. Jijun smiled slightly at her, "It's pretty good." Li Xiaolu nodded gently. She picked up her chopsticks, took a piece of fish, and tasted it. The fish was tender and flavorful.
Li Xiaolu looked at him and smiled slightly, "It really is quite delicious." Jijun smiled back at her, "Then you should eat more." Li Xiaolu nodded gently. After they finished their meal, Jijun went to wash up.
Li Xiaolu sat in the living room, watching TV and feeling a bit bored. After thinking for a moment, she took out her phone and started playing with it. After a while, Jijun came out of the bathroom. He had changed into a white T-shirt, his hair was damp, giving him a somewhat attractive look.
Li Xiaolu looked at him with flushed cheeks. She lowered her gaze, feeling a bit shy. Jijun raised an eyebrow slightly as he looked at her, "What's wrong?" Li Xiaolu met his gaze but felt awkward.
"Nothing," she said softly while looking at him. Jijun frowned slightly as he observed her. After hesitating for a moment, he walked over to her side and sat down.
He looked at her, silent for a moment, then reached out and took her hand. Li Xiaolu looked at him, somewhat surprised. She wanted to pull her hand back, but he held it tightly. She gazed at him, feeling a bit helpless.
"Let go of me," Li Xiaolu said, looking at him with some annoyance. Jijun looked at her without saying a word. His gaze was deep as he stared at her. Li Xiaolu looked back at him, feeling a bit resigned. She didn't want to argue with him, so she could only endure it.
After a moment of silence, she softly said, "I'll get you some water; you need to take your medicine." Jijun continued to look at her without speaking. Li Xiaolu felt a bit helpless as she stood up and walked to the kitchen. She poured a glass of water and brought it back to him.
Jijun watched her silently as he took the glass and swallowed his medicine. Li Xiaolu smiled slightly at him, saying, "That's more like it." Jijun looked at her with a hint of resignation. He stared at her for a moment before softly saying, "It's bitter."
Li Xiaolu found it somewhat amusing. "Good medicine tastes bitter," she said seriously while looking at him. Jijun looked at her, speechless. He remained silent for a moment before reaching out to hold her hand again.
"It's very bitter," Jijun said earnestly while looking at her. Li Xiaolu felt a bit helpless again. After thinking for a moment, she reached into her bag and pulled out a piece of chocolate, handing it to him.
"Eat this, and it won't be bitter anymore," Li Xiaolu said with a smile as she looked at him. Jijun was somewhat surprised as he hesitated for a moment before taking the chocolate, unwrapping it, and popping it into his mouth. A sweet flavor spread across his tongue; it was very sweet.
Jijun looked at her and smiled slightly. "Thank you."
Li Xiaolu glanced at him, feeling a bit shy. She lowered her gaze and remained silent.
Jijun watched her, feeling a sense of reluctance. He hesitated for a moment, then reached out and wrapped his arms around her shoulders, pulling her into his embrace.
Li Xiaolu leaned against him, her heart racing. She hadn't expected Jijun to suddenly hold her.
As she nestled in his arms, feeling his warmth, a wave of comfort washed over her. She wrapped her arms around his waist, closed her eyes, and savored the tranquility.
After a while, Jijun released her. He looked at her with deep eyes.
Li Xiaolu gazed back at him, somewhat puzzled. After a moment of hesitation, she softly asked, "What's wrong?"
Jijun continued to look at her without speaking. His gaze flickered slightly.
Suddenly, he lowered his head and kissed her lips.
Li Xiaolu stared at him, wide-eyed and shocked. Her mind went blank as she looked at him.
Jijun's eyes were deep as he deepened the kiss, filled with passion.
Li Xiaolu felt a flutter in her heart. She closed her eyes and responded to him with enthusiasm.
The two lost themselves in the kiss, forgetting everything around them.
