On the third day after Li Xiaolu moved into Ji Jun Apartment, Jijun went to her class to pick her up.
On the way, Li Xiaolu asked, "Aren't you busy today?"
Jijun replied, "I’m not working overtime today."
Li Xiaolu was pleasantly surprised, "What do you want to eat? I'll cook for you tonight."
Jijun turned his head to glance at her, "No need, I’ll cook."
Li Xiaolu was taken aback, "You’ll cook?"
Jijun raised an eyebrow, "What's wrong? Don't you believe me?"
Li Xiaolu quickly shook her head, "No, no, I definitely believe you."
She just didn’t expect Jijun to cook himself. After all, he didn’t seem like the type who would know how to cook. But then again, thinking about it, Jijun was so smart that there shouldn’t be anything he couldn’t handle.
When they returned to the apartment, Jijun told Li Xiaolu to sit on the sofa and watch TV while he went into the kitchen.
Li Xiaolu couldn’t focus on the TV at all; she ran to the kitchen door and peeked in.
Jijun was chopping vegetables. He wore a white shirt and black trousers, standing at the counter with practiced movements.
Unable to resist, Li Xiaolu walked over and hugged him from behind.
Jijun glanced at her and asked, "What’s wrong?"
Li Xiaolu pressed her face against his back and said, "I think it’s amazing."
Jijun smiled and asked, "What’s so amazing?"
Li Xiaolu replied, "I didn’t expect you could cook."
Jijun turned off the faucet and faced her, saying, "I can do a lot more than that."
Li Xiaolu was surprised, "What else can you do?"
Jijun smirked and leaned down to whisper something in her ear.
Li Xiaolu's cheeks instantly turned red. She pushed Jijun away and exclaimed, "I’m not talking to you anymore!"
Then she turned and ran away.
Jijun laughed heartily.

In the evening, Jijun prepared four dishes and a soup.
The taste turned out to be surprisingly good.
Li Xiaolu was astonished, "You really are a jack of all trades, Jijun!"
Jijun smiled, "So you should treat me a little better."
Li Xiaolu playfully stuck out her tongue at him.

Later that night, Li Xiaolu took a shower.
As she came out of the bathroom, Jijun had just finished his shower as well.
Their eyes met.
Li Xiaolu couldn't help but recall what Jijun had said to her in the kitchen earlier that evening, and her face involuntarily flushed.
Jijun walked over, cupped her chin, and kissed her lips.
Li Xiaolu closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck.
That night was destined to be another sleepless one.

The next day, when Li Xiaolu woke up, Jijun was getting dressed by the bedside.
She sat up and stretched lazily.
Jijun glanced at her and asked, "Awake?"
Li Xiaolu nodded, "Mm."
Jijun smiled, "You can sleep a bit more."
Unable to resist, Li Xiaolu asked, "Are you going out?"
Jijun nodded, "I have some things to take care of."
Pouting slightly, Li Xiaolu asked, "When will you be back?"
After getting dressed, Jijun walked over and ruffled her hair, "I'll be back in the evening."
Wrapping her arms around his waist, Li Xiaolu said, "What if I miss you?"
Jijun kissed her forehead gently, "Just give me a call."
Li Xiaolu smiled and nodded, "Okay."
During the summer vacation, Li Xiaolu and Jijun went to Los Angeles. They stood on Sunset Boulevard, kissing passionately. They visited Los Angeles Disneyland and Universal Studios. Li Xiaolu felt that perhaps this was fate. The Disneyland she had never set foot in for so many years seemed to be waiting for Jijun—the man who could hold her hand and enjoy the fun with her.
As time passed, Li Xiaolu and Jijun became increasingly in sync. The freshness of their relationship gradually turned into a seasoning for their lives. The Graduate Ceremony soon arrived. Li Xiaolu and Jijun attended the graduation ceremony together, witnessing important moments in each other's lives.
After graduation, Li Xiaolu felt that time flew by quickly. When she was out with Jijun's friends, she always felt out of place. She didn't like overly noisy environments. Zhao Tong's birthday party invited them. Li Xiaolu sat in a corner, watching them play around. She found it extremely boring. She stood up, intending to go upstairs to find Jijun.
The second floor was very quiet. As Li Xiaolu walked inside, she suddenly heard someone mention her name. She stopped in her tracks and turned to look. It was Jijun and his stepmother. Li Xiaolu was shocked.
"Why are they mentioning her?"
She couldn't help but lean in closer to hear better.
The voice of Ji Jun's Stepmother came through, "I heard that you are still in contact with that girl?"
Ji Jun's voice was cold, "What does it have to do with you?"
Ji Jun's Stepmother scoffed, "Don't forget who helped you out of trouble back then."
Ji Jun sneered, "So you sent me to Los Angeles?"
Ji Jun's Stepmother said, "I did that for your own good. Didn't you promise me that you would stop contacting that girl?"
Ji Jun coldly replied, "If it weren't for you interfering, I wouldn't have broken up with Lulu."
Ji Jun's Stepmother laughed derisively, "Oh? Are you trying to settle the score with me now?"
Ji Jun's voice was low, "I warn you, don't hurt her again."
Ji Jun's Stepmother laughed heartily, "Ji Jun, don't forget that it was you who gave her up."
Ji Jun's voice trembled slightly, "That's because I was deceived by you."
Ji Jun's Stepmother spoke with mockery, "Oh? Is that so? Then if I give you another chance now, what would you do?"
Ji Jun's voice was cold and firm, "I won't give up on Lulu again."
Ji Jun's Stepmother huffed, "Then let's see if you can."
Li Xiaolu stood there in a daze.
She stood there blankly, her mind a complete void.
