Although Good Friend was getting more and more unlucky, he was becoming happier. However, on the surface, he still had to maintain this relationship. He didn't intend to ruin things completely; a small punishment would suffice.
It was said that the child who often clung to his thigh and called him Qin Dad had also been injured by a mental patient. Teacher Qin felt a bit regretful. He thought that although he had suffered, the child was innocent and shouldn't be dragged into this.

When they took him to the supermarket, someone accidentally knocked over a shelf, burying the child under a pile of goods. His wife screamed in fright and later sought accountability from the responsible party. However, the supermarket's surveillance footage showed that there was no one near that shelf at the time; it had fallen over by itself.
Considering the public relations impact of this incident, the supermarket could only accept their misfortune and paid a large sum for medical expenses. However, just two days after receiving that money, Teacher Qin's wife received a notice from the hospital demanding payment. When she went to withdraw money from the bank and returned to the hospital, she discovered that her wallet had been slashed open and that money had vanished without a trace.
Once the child's injuries healed and he returned home from the hospital, he would sometimes wake up suddenly in the middle of the night and cry loudly. No one knew what he was crying about; when asked by adults, he would only say it hurt so much!
The family believed this might be a residual effect of his earlier injury, but when they went to the hospital for an examination, nothing unusual could be found. Before they could discuss further compensation with the supermarket, another incident involving bricks occurred.
After hearing all this, Teacher Qin felt both angry and heartbroken. When he lifted his child's shirt and saw all those scars on his body, he lost control and slapped his wife in frustration.
Initially, his in-laws were also very concerned about their grandson's well-being. However, seeing their daughter being hit made them furious. This thought deepened in Teacher Qin's mind and gradually became a reality.

In addition to expressing “concern” for Good Friend, Teacher Qin often called his wife to ask if their child had recovered. However, with each call he made, his heart ached more and his anger grew stronger. After being discharged from the hospital, their child continued to face one mishap after another.
The most recent incident occurred during a meal at home. After finishing eating and attempting to leave the chair, he accidentally fell and knocked a fork out of the bowl. Coincidentally, the fork hit the ground before his face did and pierced through his tongue along the left cheek.
By the time they reached the hospital, it was nearly too late. The doctor said that the fork had penetrated too deeply and had injured the root of the tongue; surgery was necessary. Even if it healed, he would be mute, and whether he could survive this critical period remained uncertain.
Teacher Qin's fury reached its peak in an instant. He no longer cared about friendship or whether the child was innocent or not. All he knew was that because of Good Friend, his own child would be ruined for life.
When a person is angry, everything they do is devoid of rational thought. With Teacher Qin's typically calm demeanor pushed to its limits, he couldn't help but grab a knife from home and rush over to Good Friend's house to confront him about why he did this. Was it really going to end in mutual destruction?
If Good Friend didn't provide a satisfactory answer, he would kill!
However, when he arrived at Good Friend's house, he found white cloth hanging everywhere. After a moment of shock, he learned that Good Friend's child had accidentally fallen from a building just a day prior. From fifteen stories up—the impact had shattered his skull and left his body in two pieces.
At that time, his Good Friend was almost going insane. When he saw him, he could only laugh weakly and pointed at his head, saying, "Big Tortoise, hee hee, little turtle..."
Teacher Qin thought he was pretending to be crazy, but at that moment, he truly didn't know what to do. Just then, his wife called, crying out, "The child is dead!"
Teacher Qin was taken aback and asked, "Which child is dead?"
His wife sobbed, "Our child is dead!"
The knife in Teacher Qin's hand immediately fell from his sleeve. His legs went weak, and he collapsed to the ground.
Less than two hours after Good Friend's child fell from the building, his own child also went into shock due to complications. After a day and night of rescue efforts, despite the doctors' best efforts, they were unable to save the child's life due to severe injuries. Teacher Qin instantly went mad; how could this happen? He picked up the knife and frantically attacked Good Friend, crying out loudly, "Why! Why! What the hell is wrong with you!"
When nearby friends and family reacted and pulled him away, Good Friend was already left with barely a breath. Yet he still pointed at Teacher Qin's head, trying hard to smile as he said, "Big Tortoise, hee hee, little turt..."
No one understood why he kept repeating that phrase, and before this incident, they had never seen him act similarly towards anyone.
In front of the child's memorial hall, Good Friend was killed on the spot by Teacher Qin. By the time the police arrived, Teacher Qin was already crying so hard that he couldn't stand. With witnesses and evidence present, there was nothing more to say; he was arrested and prepared for trial.
While waiting for the trial, his wife visited him in prison and asked what was being offered on the table at home.
