The sudden eye contact. 0

In the azure blue of Siren's eyes, Gu Yan's surprised expression was reflected. When those eyes focused intently on someone, almost no one could resist; they all plunged headlong into that deep blue. 0

Gu Yan was stunned. 0

Siren's gaze was moist, his hand leaving Gu Yan's wrist and slowly reaching towards Gu Yan's neck. Due to the position, Gu Yan's head hung down at an angle parallel to Siren's body, making it easy for Siren to move. His hands, as white as fine jade, gently wrapped around Gu Yan's neck. 0

Gu Yan's soft black hair was a bit messy from waking up early, and the skin at the back of his neck brushed against Siren's hand, causing a slight itch. As Siren applied gentle pressure, Gu Yan felt a soft force at the back of his neck urging him to lean down. Meanwhile, Siren's upper body slowly rose. The distance between their heads closed in an instant; Gu Yan could clearly see the beautiful scales on the side of Siren's face and the thick lashes like small fans. 0

As they drew closer, their foreheads touched, their noses slightly misaligned, their faces intimately pressed together in a posture filled with affection, without any gap between them, as if they had always been one. 0

Gu Yan’s breath scattered chaotically across Siren’s face. He could smell the ocean scent that was so close, filled with the essence of midsummer, reminiscent of the cool and clear sea breeze by the coast in the morning, gently caressing his face. 0

Their bodies gradually leaned toward the bathtub, and Gu Yan found himself sinking into the water. From his thighs to his waist to his chest and finally his head, he felt his dry skin becoming slick with water. The sensation of being enveloped by water was quite strange; although it was crystal clear with no obstruction to his view, he felt as if he were entering a sealed, opaque box. 0

As Gu Yan’s black hair spread out in the water and floated backward with his forward-leaning posture, time seemed to slow down at that moment. He wanted to struggle, but the hands at the back of his neck were as firm as rock, leaving him no room to move. 0

Just as the oxygen in Gu Yan’s mouth was about to run out, a soft and warm object covered his lips. A nimble tongue easily pried open Gu Yan’s mouth, bringing with it a sweet breath that beckoned Gu Yan’s tongue. Feeling air rushing into his mouth, Gu Yan eagerly responded; however, Siren did not let him have what he desired. At the moment their tongues touched, Siren deliberately shifted to the right just enough to miss him. Thus, Gu Yan, desperate, sought out Siren. The two soft objects touched and then parted again before intertwining with even more fervor. A stream of bubbles formed from exhaled carbon dioxide escaped from their lips. 0

Unconsciously, Gu Yan’s hands opened as if trying to grasp something, but only for invisible water to slip through his fingers. He then gave up struggling and reached for the back of Siren’s head. His hand glided over Siren’s cheek, brushing aside the golden hair that fell over it and tucking it behind Siren’s ear. Without long hair obstructing it, Siren’s pointed ears became visible and trembled slightly in the water. 0

As Gu Yan’s hand reached behind Siren, he pressed against the back of Siren’s head with slight force, deepening their underwater kiss. 0

Two bodies connected tightly in this small space—one radiating an intoxicating warmth while the other felt like a piece of deep-sea ice. Their chests pressed closely together; it seemed as if Gu Yan’s heartbeat resonated within Siren, creating a shared rhythm. 0

As bubbles rose upward, their eyes quietly closed beneath the surface. 0

The lingering breaths gradually dispersed. 0

But when Gu Yan came back to himself again, he found himself weakly leaning against the bathtub wall. The passionate kiss had left his breathing chaotic; he leaned against the tub and slowly closed his eyes, savoring the aftertaste. 0

His completely soaked black hair clung to the side of his face, outlining distinct angles. Droplets of water flowed down his cheek and neck before disappearing into the damp collar of his nightgown. The silk nightgown had somehow been pulled open significantly, faintly revealing two red points beneath it. Remaining droplets clung to Gu Yan’s eyelashes and sparkled in the sunlight—sensual beyond measure. 0

Siren’s gaze darkened slightly. 0

With their legs intertwined like a fish's tail, Gu Yan felt Siren’s smooth and cold scales sliding over his skin. He reached out to touch Siren’s fins and blue scales; however, Siren, exuding a lazy satisfaction like a well-fed beast resting after a meal, showed little reaction—calm on the surface yet harboring hidden danger. 0

As Gu Yan’s hand moved below Siren’s vent area and lightly touched the grayish membrane opening there, sensing his movement made Siren look up. On that slightly youthful face was a hint of restraint but upon closer inspection revealed innocence and inquiry. 0

The naive expression on Siren made a flicker of guilt cross through Gu Yan, as if he were tempting an innocent deity. Thus he stroked downward with his left hand as if soothing a kitten while comforting Siren. 0

In response, Siren let out a pleased muffled sound. 0

As Gu Yan was gently stroking, he suddenly felt something touch his right hand. Confused, he looked down and found it was Siren's hand. 0

Siren's slender fingers found Gu Yan's little finger, lightly hooking it, the touch subtle yet filled with a sense of dependence, like a child lacking security tightly grasping a lifeline, but with much less force. 0

What a child. Gu Yan smiled, feeling a soft spot in his heart being touched. 0

Under the gentle caress, Siren closed her eyes, as if gradually drifting into sleep. The morning sunlight spilled onto their cheeks, warm and comforting. 0

Gu Yan continued his actions intermittently while quietly observing Siren. 0

Only one night had passed, yet Siren seemed to have grown a bit larger; her blue tail appeared slightly longer than yesterday. Although the change was not drastic, Gu Yan, who had been closely watching Siren, easily noticed the difference. 0

Ten years had gone by, and Siren seemed to possess eternal life, her appearance unchanged since their fateful encounter. After that unforgettable meeting, Gu Yan frantically utilized all resources to search for information about Siren and to find her. This mysterious race had lived in the deep sea for generations; aside from some enigmatic legends, there were not many records about them, as if these beings were figments of human imagination in pursuit of a better existence. In those obscure and difficult-to-understand folk tales, Sirens often had two opposing faces—some said they were sea deities favored by fate; others referred to them as Sirens, believing they possessed evil powers capable of devouring human souls. 0

Setting aside these ethereal legends, the Siren before him seemed to embody a frozen sense of time; ten years had left no trace on this beautiful Siren. However, in contrast, just one night had brought about considerable changes in her form. 0

It was as if a mysterious catalyst was prompting Siren's growth. 0

What could be causing this evidently still juvenile Siren to accelerate her development? 0

Gu Yan squinted his eyes and pondered deeply. 0
